2. What's in the Box

The following items are included with your SIG SAUER Echo3 Thermal Reflex Sight:

  • Echo3 Thermal Reflex Sight, 1-6X, M1913

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The Echo3 Thermal Reflex Sight requires two (2) CR123 batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries into the compartment.

3.2 Mounting

The sight features a Dovetail Mount designed for secure attachment to firearms equipped with an M1913 Picatinny rail. Ensure the mount is tightened securely to prevent movement during use.

3.3 Lens Cleaning Before Use

Before initial use, ensure all lens surfaces are clean and free from dust or debris. Use a soft microfiber cloth and compressed air to gently remove any particles. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could damage the lens coatings.

4. Operating the Echo3

4.1 BDX Technology

The Echo3 is BDX (Ballistic Data Xchange) enabled, allowing for seamless integration with compatible KILO Rangefinders. This technology enables active reticles that automatically adjust based on rangefinder input, providing precise aiming solutions.

4.2 Thermal Imaging & Color Palettes

The Echo3 can record both video and images in 8 different color palettes. These palettes enhance target detection and identification in various environmental conditions, making it ideal for low-light or obscured visibility scenarios.

4.3 Customizable Fixed Reticles

The sight features multiple customizable fixed reticles that can be configured via the BDX Mobile App. This allows users to select and personalize reticle patterns to suit their specific hunting or shooting preferences.

4.4 MOTAC Technology

MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination) technology powers up the sight's illumination when it senses motion and powers down when it does not, significantly extending battery life. The Echo3 is designed to withstand IPX-4 conditions and offers greater than 6 hours of run time.

4.5 LevelPlex System

The integrated LevelPlex Anti-Cant System provides precise scope cant sensitivity down to 0.5 degrees. This system is 6 times more accurate than a typical bubble level, helping the shooter eliminate unwanted cant for improved accuracy.

4.6 ALT Technology

ALT (Aspheric Lens Technology) utilizes precision-molded aspheric lenses to virtually eliminate aberration, reduce weight, and focus the projected image through the lenses. This results in superior low-distortion optical performance.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the exterior of the Echo3 with a soft, damp cloth. For the lenses, use a dedicated lens cleaning pen or a soft microfiber cloth with a specialized lens cleaning solution. Avoid using abrasive materials, paper towels, or harsh chemicals, as these can scratch or damage the lens coatings.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the CR123 batteries as needed to ensure optimal performance and functionality of the sight. Always use fresh batteries.

5.3 Storage

When not in use, store the Echo3 Thermal Reflex Sight in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure lens caps are in place to protect the optics.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are fully charged. Replace batteries if necessary.
  • Image Issues: Verify that the lenses are clean and free from smudges or debris. Adjust brightness and contrast settings within the device menu.
  • Connectivity Problems: If experiencing issues with BDX connectivity, ensure WiFi/Bluetooth is enabled on both the Echo3 and your connected device (e.g., KILO Rangefinder, BDX Mobile App).
  • For further assistance, refer to the comprehensive user manual provided by Sig Sauer or contact their customer support.
