Control Button Functions:
- SNOOZE Button: Temporarily silences the alarm for a short period.
- TIME SET Button: Used to set the current time.
- ALARM 1/ALARM 2 Buttons: Used to set and activate Alarm 1 and Alarm 2.
- RADIO/ALARM Button: Toggles between radio and alarm functions, and sets alarm source.

5. Setup
5.1 Power Connection
- Plug the AC power adapter into the DC IN jack located on the back of the JCR-206 unit.
- Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.
- The unit will power on, and the display will show a flashing time (e.g., 12:00 AM).
5.2 Battery Backup Installation
The JCR-206 requires 2 x 'AAA' batteries (not included) for battery backup. This feature ensures that your time and alarm settings are retained during a power outage.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
- Remove the cover by sliding it off.
- Insert 2 'AAA' batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
Note: The battery backup only maintains time and alarm settings; it does not power the display or alarm functions during a power outage.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Setting the Clock
- Press and hold the TIME SET button until the display flashes.
- Press the HOUR button repeatedly to adjust the hour. Observe the PM indicator for correct AM/PM setting.
- Press the MINUTE button repeatedly to adjust the minutes.
- Press the TIME SET button again to confirm and save the time. The display will stop flashing.
6.2 Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)
The JCR-206 features two independent alarms.
- Press and hold the ALARM 1 (or ALARM 2) button until the alarm time flashes on the display.
- Press the HOUR button to set the desired alarm hour.
- Press the MINUTE button to set the desired alarm minutes.
- Press the ALARM 1 (or ALARM 2) button again to select the alarm source:
- Buzzer: An audible tone will sound.
- Radio: The last tuned radio station will play.
- Press the ALARM 1 (or ALARM 2) button one more time to confirm and activate the alarm. The corresponding alarm indicator (e.g., ⏰1 or ⏰2) will appear on the display.
6.3 Disabling/Enabling Alarms
To disable an active alarm, press the corresponding ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button until the alarm indicator disappears from the display. To re-enable, repeat the setting process.
6.4 Snooze Function
When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.
6.5 Sleep Timer Function
The sleep timer allows you to fall asleep to the radio, which will automatically turn off after a set duration.
- While the radio is playing, press the SLEEP button. The display will show the default sleep time (e.g., 90 minutes).
- Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
- Release the button when your desired sleep time is displayed. The radio will play for the selected duration and then turn off automatically.
6.6 Radio Operation (AM/FM)
- Press the POWER button (if available, or SOURCE button) to turn on the radio.
- Press the AM/FM button to select either AM or FM band.
- Manual Tuning: Press the TUNING UP or TUNING DOWN buttons briefly to adjust the frequency step by step.
- Automatic Scan: Press and hold the TUNING UP or TUNING DOWN buttons for a few seconds to automatically scan for the next available station.
- Setting Presets:
- Tune to your desired station.
- Press and hold the PRESET button until the preset number flashes.
- Use the TUNING UP/DOWN buttons to select the desired preset number (1-10 for AM, 1-10 for FM).
- Press the PRESET button again to save the station.
- Recalling Presets: Briefly press the PRESET button to cycle through your saved stations.
6.7 Auxiliary Input (AUX-IN)
The AUX-IN jack allows you to connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to play audio through the JCR-206's speaker.
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the headphone jack or line-out of your external audio device.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the AUX-IN jack on the back of the JCR-206.
- Press the SOURCE or AUX button on the JCR-206 to switch to AUX mode.
- Start playing audio on your external device.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME buttons on the JCR-206 and/or your external device.
6.8 Display Dimmer Control
To adjust the brightness of the 1.8-inch green LED display, press the DIMMER button. Each press will cycle through high and low brightness settings.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Unit
To maintain the appearance of your JCR-206, follow these cleaning instructions:
- Unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
- For the display, use a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid pressing hard on the display.
7.2 Battery Replacement
Replace the 'AAA' backup batteries annually or if you notice that time and settings are not retained during power interruptions.
8. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your JCR-206, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
