Key Features:
- High Performance: Features durable wiring and interfaces, ensuring a low failure rate and long-term use. Designed for high efficiency and energy saving.
- Robust Housing: The outer shell is constructed from an aluminum alloy with a grooved design, providing excellent heat dissipation to protect internal circuits from thermal overload.
- Dual Operating Modes: Intelligently identifies the motor hall status and switches operating modes. It runs normally when the hall sensors are functional and automatically switches to hall-free mode if they are damaged.
- Easy Installation: Includes 15 distinct wiring connections, making installation and removal straightforward.
2. Setup and Wiring
Proper wiring is crucial for the safe and correct operation of your motor controller. Refer to the wiring diagram below and follow the instructions carefully.

Image 2.1: The controller features a total of 15 wiring connections for various functions.
Wiring Diagram Overview:

Image 2.2: Comprehensive wiring diagram for the controller. Ensure all connections are made according to this diagram.
Connection Instructions:
- Motor Phase Lines: Connect the Green, Blue, and Yellow phase lines from the controller to the corresponding motor phase lines.
- Motor Hall Sensors: Connect the motor hall sensor wires (Red +5V, Black GND, Yellow, Green, Blue) to the controller's hall sensor interface.
- Power Supply: Connect the main power wires (Red for positive, Black for negative) to your battery pack. Ensure correct polarity.
- Throttle: Connect the throttle input wires to the controller. The throttle typically has a 4.3V input voltage and 0.8V-3.6V output voltage range.
- Brake Levers: Connect the brake lever wires. The controller is designed to cut off power to the motor when the brake is applied.
- Three-Speed Control: Connect the three-speed wires (Green, Blue, Black) to enable speed adjustments.
- Intelligent Recognition Motor Phase: When the socket is connected together, the motor will run automatically. If the motor rotation direction is incorrect, disconnect and reconnect. The motor will automatically turn into the correct direction of rotation.
- Cruise Control: The default connection state is 6 seconds into the automatic cruise control. When the switch is connected to the switch, the button is pressed to enter cruise control. Release to exit status.
- Power Switch: Connect the power supply switch. When connected, the switch is switched on, and when disconnected, it is switched off.
Always ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.
3. Operating Instructions
Once the controller is correctly installed and wired, you can begin operating your electric bicycle or scooter.
Starting the System:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly connected.
- Turn on the main power switch of your electric vehicle.
- The controller will perform an initial self-check.
Throttle Control:
Gently twist the throttle to accelerate. The controller will regulate power to the motor based on your throttle input.
Braking:
Apply the brake levers to slow down or stop. The controller is designed to cut off motor power immediately upon brake activation for safety.
Dual-Mode Operation:
The controller intelligently detects the status of the motor's Hall sensors. If the Hall sensors are functioning correctly, it operates in standard mode. If the Hall sensors become damaged, the controller automatically switches to a Hall-free operating mode, allowing continued operation of the motor, albeit potentially with slightly different performance characteristics.
4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AUNMAS motor controller.
- Keep Dry: Protect the controller from water and excessive moisture. Although the aluminum casing offers some protection, prolonged exposure to water can cause damage.
- Cleanliness: Periodically clean the exterior of the controller with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust and dirt. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Inspect Connections: Regularly check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion. Loose connections can lead to intermittent power or system failures.
- Avoid Overheating: Ensure the controller has adequate airflow, especially during prolonged use or in hot weather, to facilitate proper heat dissipation from its grooved aluminum casing.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your motor controller, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Motor Not Responding:
- Check all power connections from the battery to the controller.
- Verify the throttle connection and ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Inspect motor phase and Hall sensor connections for looseness or damage.
- Ensure the brake levers are not stuck in the 'on' position, which would cut motor power.
- Intermittent Power:
- Check for loose wiring connections, especially the main power and motor phase wires.
- Ensure the battery is adequately charged and providing stable voltage.
- Motor Runs Roughly or with Unusual Noise:
- This could indicate an issue with the motor Hall sensors. The controller's dual-mode feature should compensate, but if the issue persists, inspect the Hall sensor wiring.
- Verify motor phase wire connections are correct and secure.
- Controller Overheating:
- Ensure the controller is mounted in a location with sufficient airflow.
- Check for excessive load on the motor or prolonged high-power usage.
If troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, contact customer support for further assistance.
