  1. Connect the provided USB data cable to the charging port on the device.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a DC5V power source (e.g., a USB wall adapter, computer USB port).
  3. The indicator light will show the charging status. Once fully charged, disconnect the device from the power source.

5.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a circle and a vertical line, as shown in Figure 3.1) until the display screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the power button until the device powers down. The device also features an automatic shutdown function, configurable up to 90 minutes of inactivity.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Navigation

Use the navigation buttons (up, down, left, right, and confirm/power button) to move through menus and select options on the LCD screen.

6.2 Measurement Modes

The ZL610 Rebar Scanner offers various measurement modes for comprehensive analysis:

  • Rebar Positioning: This mode helps locate the exact position of steel bars within concrete. Move the scanner slowly and evenly across the concrete surface. The display will indicate the presence and location of rebar.
  • Protective Layer Thickness Measurement: The device measures the depth of the concrete cover over the rebar. Follow the on-screen prompts for accurate readings.
  • Diameter Estimation: The scanner can estimate the diameter of the detected rebar. This feature may be optional or require specific settings.
