5.2. Step-by-Step Installation
- Locate Mounting Position: Determine the desired height for your TV. Use a stud finder to locate the center of the wood studs if mounting on wood. Mark the drilling points for the wall plate.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. For wood studs, use a smaller drill bit than the lag bolts. For concrete/brick, use a masonry drill bit and insert the provided anchors.
- Attach Wall Plate: Secure the wall plate to the wall using the lag bolts and washers. Ensure it is level using a bubble level.
- Attach TV Brackets: Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, clean surface. Attach the TV brackets to the back of your TV using the appropriate screws, washers, and spacers from the hardware kit. Ensure the brackets are centered and securely fastened.
- Mount TV to Wall Plate: With assistance, carefully lift the TV and hook the TV brackets onto the wall plate. For PSMTK1, ensure the brackets engage the wall plate securely. For PSXFK1, extend the arm and attach the TV.
- Secure TV: For PSMTK1, pull the quick-release straps down to engage the locking mechanism, securing the TV to the wall plate. For PSXFK1, ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and safe operation of your TV wall mount.
- Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight and secure. Over time, vibrations or movement can cause fasteners to loosen.
- Inspect for Damage: Regularly inspect the mount for any signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. If any issues are found, contact PERLESMITH customer service.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during or after installation, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips.
- TV Not Level: Ensure the wall plate is perfectly level before securing it to the wall. Some mounts allow for minor post-installation leveling adjustments on the TV brackets.
- Mount Feels Loose: Re-check all wall mounting bolts and TV bracket screws. Ensure they are tightened securely. Do not overtighten.
- Difficulty Adjusting Tilt/Swivel: For full motion mounts, ensure no cables are snagged or restricting movement. For tilt mounts, ensure the tilt mechanism is not overly stiff; some require a firm but gentle push.
- Missing Parts: If any parts were missing from the package, contact PERLESMITH customer support immediately for replacements.
