MT-VIKI HDMI Splitter 1 in 4 Out and 1 in 2 Out Instruction Manual

Model: SP104, SP102

Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the MT-VIKI HDMI Splitter models SP104 (1 input to 4 outputs) and SP102 (1 input to 2 outputs). These devices are designed to duplicate a single HDMI source signal to multiple HDMI displays simultaneously. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure proper setup and performance.

Product Overview

The MT-VIKI HDMI Splitters allow for the distribution of a single HDMI source to multiple HDMI displays. The SP104 model provides four identical HDMI outputs, while the SP102 model provides two identical HDMI outputs. Both models support high-definition video resolutions up to 4Kx2K@30Hz and are HDCP compliant.

Setup Instructions

  1. Connect the HDMI Source: Connect an HDMI cable from your source device (e.g., computer, PS4, Blu-ray player) to the HDMI INPUT port on the MT-VIKI HDMI Splitter.
  2. Connect the HDMI Displays: Connect HDMI cables from the HDMI OUTPUT ports on the splitter to your display devices (e.g., TV, monitor, projector). Ensure all displays are powered on.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the included DC 5V power adapter into the splitter's DC 5V port, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The power indicator light on the splitter should illuminate.
  4. Power On Devices: Power on your HDMI source device and all connected display devices. The splitter is plug-and-play and does not require additional software or drivers.

Operating Instructions

Once all connections are made and devices are powered on, the MT-VIKI HDMI Splitter will automatically duplicate the HDMI input signal to all connected output displays. The splitter functions as a signal duplicator, meaning all connected displays will show the same content from the source.

  • Mirror/Duplicate Mode: The splitter is designed to mirror or duplicate the input signal. It does not support extended desktop mode across multiple displays.
  • Cascade Functionality: For applications requiring more outputs, multiple MT-VIKI HDMI splitters can be cascaded. Connect an output from one splitter to the input of another splitter to expand the number of displays. The signal can be transferred up to 50 feet (15 meters) through cascading.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MT-VIKI HDMI Splitter, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.
  • Avoid exposing the device to water or other liquids.
  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the splitter to prevent overheating.
  • Disconnect the power adapter when the device is not in use for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your MT-VIKI HDMI Splitter, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Picture/Signal:
    • Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected to both the source, splitter, and display devices.
    • Verify that the power adapter is correctly plugged into the splitter and a working power outlet. Check if the power indicator light on the splitter is on.
    • Try using different HDMI cables to rule out cable issues.
    • Ensure your display device is set to the correct HDMI input source.
    • Test the HDMI source device by connecting it directly to a display to confirm it is outputting a signal.
  • Poor Picture Quality/Flickering:
    • Check the resolution settings of your source device. Ensure it is compatible with both the splitter and your display devices. The splitter supports up to 4Kx2K@30Hz.
    • Ensure HDMI cables are of good quality and not excessively long, especially for 4K resolutions.
    • Try restarting all connected devices (source, splitter, displays).
  • No Audio:
    • Verify that your display device's audio is not muted or set to a very low volume.
    • Check the audio output settings on your source device.
    • Ensure the HDMI cables support audio transmission.
