3. Setup and Installation

Installation Steps (Recessed Mount)

  1. Determine the desired location for the sensor within your cabinet or closet. Ensure it is positioned where the door's movement can be detected.
  2. Drill a hole of approximately 9mm diameter and 28mm depth for the sensor head. A smaller pilot hole (1mm) may be used first.
  3. Insert the sensor head into the drilled hole until it sits flush with the surface.
  4. Route the sensor cable to the control box.

Wiring and Connection

The VST IH01 sensor switch is compatible with both 12V and 24V lighting systems. Follow the appropriate connection method below:

  • For 12V Systems: Connect the JST male port from the sensor control box directly to your 12V LED driver. Connect the JST female port from the control box to your 12V LED light fixture.
  • For 24V Systems: The original connector is a 12V JST male and female plug. To connect to a 24V driver or light fixture, use the included 12V to 24V conversion cables. Connect the conversion cable first, then link it to your 24V power supply or light fixture.
