3. Setup and Installation
Installation Steps (Recessed Mount)
- Determine the desired location for the sensor within your cabinet or closet. Ensure it is positioned where the door's movement can be detected.
- Drill a hole of approximately 9mm diameter and 28mm depth for the sensor head. A smaller pilot hole (1mm) may be used first.
- Insert the sensor head into the drilled hole until it sits flush with the surface.
- Route the sensor cable to the control box.

Wiring and Connection
The VST IH01 sensor switch is compatible with both 12V and 24V lighting systems. Follow the appropriate connection method below:
- For 12V Systems: Connect the JST male port from the sensor control box directly to your 12V LED driver. Connect the JST female port from the control box to your 12V LED light fixture.
- For 24V Systems: The original connector is a 12V JST male and female plug. To connect to a 24V driver or light fixture, use the included 12V to 24V conversion cables. Connect the conversion cable first, then link it to your 24V power supply or light fixture.

5. Maintenance
Cleaning and Care
- Keep the sensor head clean and free from dust or obstructions to ensure optimal performance.
- Wipe the sensor and control box with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure no liquids come into contact with the electrical components.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your VST IH01 Motion Sensor Light Switch, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on when door opens. | No power to the switch/light, incorrect wiring, sensor obstructed, faulty light/driver. | Check power supply. Verify all connections are secure and correct according to the wiring diagrams. Ensure the sensor is not blocked. Test the light and driver independently if possible. |
| Light does not turn off when door closes. | Sensor misaligned or obstructed, faulty sensor. | Ensure the sensor is properly aligned to detect the closed door position. Clear any obstructions around the sensor. |
| Light flickers or operates erratically. | Unstable power supply, loose connection, incompatible light/driver. | Check power supply stability. Secure all connections. Ensure the connected LED lights and driver are compatible with the switch's specifications (12V/24V DC, Max 3A). |
| Using 24V system, but light is not working or working incorrectly. | Incorrect polarity for 24V connection. | When working with a 24V transformer/driver, ensure the polarity is correctly reversed if necessary, or use the provided 12V to 24V conversion cables as instructed. |
