Panel 3 shows selecting 'Dry Mode' for one-touch operation. Panel 4 shows the 'Light off' indicator and opening the lid after sealing.
  1. Prepare the Bag: Place the food item into a vacuum sealer bag. Ensure the open end of the bag is clean and dry.
  2. Position the Bag: Place the open end of the vacuum bag flat into the vacuum chamber of the appliance. Ensure it is centered and not wrinkled.
  3. Close and Lock: Close the appliance lid firmly until both sides click into place, indicating it is locked.
  4. Select Mode: Press the 'Dry' button for dry food items. The appliance will automatically vacuum the air and then seal the bag.
  5. Finish: Once the indicator light turns off, the process is complete. Press the release buttons on both sides to open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

Vacuum Sealing (Moist Food):

For moist or wet food items, use the 'Wet' mode. This mode adjusts the sealing time to ensure a proper seal despite the presence of moisture. Follow the same steps as for dry food, but select the 'Wet' button instead of 'Dry'.

Sealing Only:

To seal a bag without vacuuming, for example, to reseal snack bags, press the 'Seal' button. The appliance will only heat seal the bag without removing air.

Using the Accessory Port (External Vacuum):

The VS2000 includes an accessory port for vacuum sealing containers, jars, or special bags with a valve. Connect the external suction tube to the accessory port on the machine and to the container/bag. Press the 'Accessory' button to begin vacuuming. The machine will stop automatically or can be stopped manually.

Food Preservation Guidelines

Vacuum sealing significantly extends the shelf life of various food items by removing oxygen, which is a primary cause of spoilage.
