Setup and Assembly
Follow the detailed step-by-step instructions provided in the included printed manual for precise assembly. The general sequence of assembly is outlined below.
1. Chassis Assembly
Begin by assembling the TT-01E chassis components. This involves constructing the gearbox, suspension arms, shock absorbers, and drive shafts. Pay close attention to the orientation of parts and the correct application of grease where indicated.

Install the electric motor into the motor mount. Ensure proper gear mesh between the pinion gear and the spur gear to prevent premature wear.
2. Electronic Component Installation
Mount the Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) and the steering servo onto the chassis using the provided hardware. Connect the motor to the ESC, and the ESC and steering servo to the receiver. Route all wires neatly to avoid interference with moving parts.
3. Wheel and Tire Assembly
Assemble the wheels and tires. If the tires are not pre-mounted, carefully glue them to the wheel rims using appropriate tire glue. Mount the assembled wheels onto the chassis axles.
4. Body Preparation and Mounting
The polycarbonate truck body requires cutting, painting, and decal application. Carefully cut out the body shell along the marked lines. Wash the inside of the body with mild detergent and water, then dry thoroughly. Apply polycarbonate-specific paint to the inside of the body. Once dry, apply the included decals according to the reference images.

Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Run Checks
- Ensure the battery pack is fully charged and securely installed in the chassis.
- Turn on the transmitter first, then the receiver/ESC.
- Check steering and throttle response. Ensure the steering servo operates smoothly and the wheels turn correctly.
- Verify that all screws are tight and no parts are loose.
2. Driving the Model
Start by driving slowly to familiarize yourself with the model's handling characteristics. The TT-01E chassis is designed for on-road performance. Avoid rough terrain or obstacles that could damage the chassis or body.
- Use smooth throttle and steering inputs for optimal control.
- Practice turning and braking in an open area.
- Monitor battery life and stop operation when performance degrades to prevent over-discharging.
3. Post-Run Procedure
- Turn off the receiver/ESC first, then the transmitter.
- Disconnect and remove the battery pack from the model.
- Inspect the model for any damage or loose parts.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your TAMIYA RC truck.
- Cleaning: After each run, clean dirt and debris from the chassis, suspension, and drivetrain using a soft brush or compressed air.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws for tightness. Inspect gears for wear, and replace if necessary. Check suspension components for damage or excessive play.
- Lubrication: Apply appropriate grease to moving parts in the gearbox and differentials as recommended in the assembly manual. Avoid over-lubrication.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Follow battery manufacturer guidelines for charging and storage.
- Tire Care: Inspect tires for wear and damage. Clean tires to maintain grip.
