5. Setup and Initial Charging

5.1 Charging the Jump Starter

6. Operating Instructions: Jump Starting a Vehicle

Follow these steps carefully to safely jump start your vehicle:

1. Ensure the jump starter is fully charged.
2. Turn off your vehicle's ignition and all accessories (lights, radio, etc.).
3. Connect the smart jumper clamps to the jump starter's Jump Starter Output port. Ensure a secure connection.
4. Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's battery.
5. Connect the black (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal of your vehicle's battery.
6. Once connected, the indicator light on the smart clamps should turn solid green, indicating a safe connection. If it flashes or beeps, check the connections for proper polarity.
7. Return to your vehicle and start the engine. If the engine does not start immediately, wait 30 seconds before trying again. Do not crank for more than 3 seconds per attempt.
8. Once the vehicle starts, immediately disconnect the black (-) clamp from the vehicle battery, then disconnect the red (+) clamp.
9. Finally, disconnect the smart jumper clamps from the jump starter unit.

6.1 Force Start Function (for completely dead batteries)

If your vehicle battery is completely dead (below 2V), the smart clamps may not detect it and the indicator light might not turn green. In this case, use the force start function:

1. Ensure the smart clamps are correctly connected to both the jump starter and the vehicle battery terminals.
2. Press and hold the 'BOOST' button (often marked with an exclamation mark or similar symbol) on the smart clamps for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light turns solid green.
3. Start your vehicle within 30 seconds.
4. Once the vehicle starts, immediately disconnect the clamps in reverse order (black then red).

Note: Use the force start function only when necessary and with extreme caution, as it bypasses some safety checks.
