Setup
1. Installation on Helmet
- Mount the Intercom Unit: Secure the intercom unit to the side of your helmet using the provided clamp or adhesive mount. Ensure it is firmly attached and does not obstruct your vision or movement.
- Install Speakers: Place the stereo speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets. Use the Velcro pads to secure them. Ensure they are positioned directly over your ears for optimal sound quality.
- Attach Microphone:
- For Full-Face Helmets: Use the soft boom microphone. Position it close to your mouth, ensuring it is not directly in front of your lips to avoid wind noise.
- For Open-Face or Modular Helmets: Use the rigid boom microphone. Position it similarly, ensuring it can be adjusted for optimal voice pickup.
- Connect Components: Plug the speaker and microphone cables into the corresponding ports on the intercom unit. Route the cables neatly within the helmet lining to prevent interference and discomfort.

2. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the intercom unit. Connect the USB charging cable to the unit's charging port and a standard USB power adapter. The LED indicator will show charging status and turn off or change color when fully charged. A full charge typically takes 2-3 hours.
3. Bluetooth Pairing with Mobile Device
- Ensure the V9 PRO unit is powered off.
- Press and hold the Power/Intercom button until the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
- On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "OBEST V9 PRO" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the LED indicator will flash blue slowly. You will hear a confirmation tone.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power/Intercom button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED flashes blue.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Intercom button for approximately 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and then turns off.
2. Volume Control
Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons to adjust the audio level during calls, music playback, or intercom communication.
3. Intercom Function (Two-Way Communication)
The V9 PRO supports real-time intercom communication between two units.
- Ensure both V9 PRO units are powered on and within the 500-meter range.
- On one unit, short press the Power/Intercom button to initiate an intercom connection.
- The units will attempt to connect. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and communication can begin.
- To end the intercom call, short press the Power/Intercom button again.

4. Phone Functions
- Answer Call: When an incoming call is detected, the V9 PRO will automatically answer after a few rings (Bluetooth 3.0 auto-answer feature). You can also short press the Phone button to answer manually.
- End Call: Short press the Phone button during a call.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Phone button for 2 seconds when a call is incoming.
- Redial Last Number: Double-press the Phone button when not on a call.

5. Music Playback
Once paired with your mobile device, you can stream music.
- Play/Pause: Short press the Play/Pause button.
- Next Track: Short press the Volume Up (+) button.
- Previous Track: Short press the Volume Down (-) button.

6. FM Radio
The V9 PRO includes an integrated FM radio.
- Activate FM Radio: Press and hold the FM button for 2 seconds.
- Scan Stations: Short press the Volume Up (+) or Volume Down (-) buttons to scan for the next or previous available station.
- Deactivate FM Radio: Press and hold the FM button for 2 seconds again.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Wipe the intercom unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure all ports are dry before charging or use.
2. Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the unit frequently. Charge the unit regularly, especially if it will not be used for an extended period. Store in a cool, dry place.

3. Waterproofing
The V9 PRO is designed with advanced waterproofing technology. While it is resistant to rain and splashes, avoid submerging the unit in water. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when not charging.

Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the unit is fully charged. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn on.
- No Sound/Low Volume: Check speaker connections. Adjust volume using the (+) button. Ensure speakers are positioned correctly over ears.
- Cannot Pair with Phone: Ensure the V9 PRO is in pairing mode (red and blue flashing LED). Turn off and on your phone's Bluetooth. Try unpairing and re-pairing.
- Intercom Not Connecting: Ensure both units are powered on and within range. Re-initiate the intercom connection.
- Poor Audio Quality: Check microphone position. Ensure it is close to your mouth but not directly in the path of breath. Reduce background noise if possible.
