4. Setup Guide

4.1. Initial Setup

  1. Connect to Display: Connect your monitor or TV to the Mini PC using the HDMI or VGA port.
  2. Connect Peripherals: Plug in your keyboard and mouse into the USB 3.0 ports.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the "Power In" port on the Mini PC, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  4. Power On: Press the power button on the Mini PC. The device will boot up, and the operating system will load.

4.2. Storage Expansion

The Bmax Mini PC allows for storage expansion by adding an M.2 SATA 2280 SSD or a 2.5" HDD/SSD. This process requires opening the device.

Video 1: How to add an SSD card to the Bmax B2S Mini PC. This video demonstrates the steps for opening the Mini PC and installing an M.2 SSD.

  1. Remove Rubber Feet: Carefully peel off the four rubber feet on the bottom of the Mini PC to reveal the screws underneath.
  2. Unscrew Bottom Cover: Use a small screwdriver to remove the screws.
  3. Open Case: Gently pry open the bottom cover using a plastic opening tool.
  4. Install SSD/HDD: Locate the M.2 slot or 2.5" drive bay and install your chosen storage device. Secure it with screws if necessary.
  5. Reassemble: Replace the bottom cover, secure the screws, and reattach the rubber feet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Connecting to Network

5.2. Dual Display Setup

The Bmax Mini PC supports dual display output via its HDMI and VGA ports, allowing for extended desktop or mirrored displays.

  1. Connect the first monitor to the HDMI port.
  2. Connect the second monitor to the VGA port.
  3. Once both monitors are connected and powered on, configure display settings within your operating system (e.g., Windows Display Settings) to extend or duplicate your desktop.

The compact design of the Bmax Mini PC allows for discreet placement, including mounting behind a monitor using the included metal bracket.

  1. Attach the metal bracket to the Mini PC using the provided screws.
  2. Secure the Mini PC with the attached bracket to the VESA mounting holes on the back of your monitor.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Smart Recovery Environment

The Bmax Mini PC includes a Smart Recovery Environment that allows you to reset your PC to its factory settings. This can be useful for resolving persistent software issues or preparing the device for a new user.

Note: Performing a factory reset will erase all data on your device. Ensure you back up any important files before proceeding.
