Invisible Selfie Stick Effect Compatibility

The "Invisible Selfie Stick" effect, where the stick is automatically removed from 360-degree footage, is only supported by cameras with a dual-lens design.

Setup

1. Attaching Your Camera: Securely mount your compatible Insta360 camera to the 1/4" screw at the top of the selfie stick. Ensure the camera is firmly attached to prevent accidental detachment.
2. Connecting for Power and Control: Use the provided Type-C to Type-C cable to connect your camera to the USB-C Port (1) on the selfie stick. This connection enables both power transfer and remote control functionality.
3. Extending the Stick: Gently pull the extension rod to extend the selfie stick to your desired length.

Charging the Selfie Stick

Connect the selfie stick to a power source using a USB-C cable via USB-C Port (2). The LED indicators will show charging progress. A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Remote Camera Control

The integrated buttons allow for convenient remote control of your camera's functions, including starting/stopping recording and changing modes, without directly touching the camera. The built-in 4500mAh battery can significantly extend your camera's operational time, providing up to 5 hours of additional power.

Maintenance and Care

• Water Exposure: The selfie stick should never come into contact with liquid of any kind. Do not use it in the rain or submerge it in water.
• Cleaning: Wipe the stick with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface.
• Storage: Store the selfie stick in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Cable Management: Ensure the Type-C cable is properly routed and not subjected to excessive bending or strain, which could damage the cable or ports.

Troubleshooting

• Selfie Stick Not Powering On:
  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and check LED indicators.
  • Press and hold the Power Button for a few seconds to ensure it's not just a short press.
• Camera Not Responding to Controls:
  • Verify the Type-C to Type-C cable is securely connected between the selfie stick and the camera.
  • Ensure the camera model is listed as compatible with the remote control features.
  • Check camera settings to ensure external control or accessory connection is enabled if applicable.
• No 1/4" Screw on Bottom:
  • The Insta360 Power Selfie Stick does not feature a 1/4" screw mount on its base. This design choice means it cannot be directly mounted to standard tripods or other accessories requiring this type of screw.
• Rattling Noise:
  • Some users have reported minor rattling noises. If the noise significantly impacts video quality, ensure all parts are securely tightened. If the issue persists, contact Insta360 support.
• USB-C Cable Visibility:
  • The included USB-C cable may be visible in some shots, especially with non-360 cameras or specific shooting angles. Adjust cable routing or shooting angles to minimize visibility. For 360 cameras, the "Invisible Selfie Stick" effect helps to remove the stick and cable from the final stitched footage.
