1. Introduction

4. Setup
4.1 Inserting SIM Cards and MicroSD Card
- Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the device.
- Use the provided SIM ejector tool to open the tray.
- Place your Nano-SIM cards and an optional MicroSD card into the designated slots. Ensure correct orientation.
- Carefully reinsert the tray into the phone.
4.2 Initial Power On and Setup Wizard
- Press and hold the Power button until the realme logo appears.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your language, region, connect to Wi-Fi, and set up your Google account.
- Configure security settings such as fingerprint unlock (side-mounted sensor) and screen lock.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Charging the Device
Connect the USB cable to the phone's charging port and the other end to the provided power adapter. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet. The realme 9i supports 33W Dart Charge for faster charging. Use only the original charger and cable for optimal performance and safety.
5.2 Display and Navigation
The device features a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Navigate the interface using touch gestures. Swipe up from the bottom for the app drawer, swipe down from the top for notifications and quick settings.

5.3 Camera Usage
The realme 9i is equipped with a 50MP AI Triple Camera system on the rear and a 16MP AI Selfie Camera on the front.
- 50MP Primary Camera: For high-resolution photos.
- B&W Portrait Camera: For artistic black and white portraits.
- Macro Lens: For close-up shots (4cm shooting distance).
Open the Camera app, select your desired mode (Photo, Video, Portrait, Macro, etc.), and tap the shutter button to capture images or start recording.

5.4 Battery Management
The 5000mAh battery provides extended usage. To conserve battery life, enable Super Power Saving Mode via the quick settings panel or battery settings. This mode optimizes background activity and display settings to maximize standby time.

5.5 Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE)
The realme 9i features Dynamic RAM Expansion technology, allowing the 6GB of physical RAM to be expanded by up to 5GB using internal storage, resulting in a smoother user experience, especially during multitasking or heavy application usage. This feature can typically be configured in the device's settings under "About Phone" or "RAM & Storage".

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Device
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and back panel. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, which can damage the device's finish or screen coating.
6.2 Software Updates
Regularly check for and install software updates to ensure your device has the latest security patches and features. Go to Settings > About Phone > realme UI version to check for updates.
