Setup
1. Powering the Keyboard
For wireless operation, insert the two included AA batteries into the battery compartment located on the underside of the keyboard. Alternatively, connect the keyboard using the provided USB-C cable for wired use and charging.
2. Wired Connection
- Connect the USB-C end of the provided cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
- Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will be automatically recognized and ready for use.
3. Wireless Bluetooth Connection
- Ensure the keyboard is powered on (with batteries or USB-C cable).
- Activate Bluetooth on your computer or device.
- On the keyboard, press and hold the dedicated device pairing button (e.g., '1', '2', '3', or '4' depending on the model's layout) for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes, indicating pairing mode.
- On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "Realforce R3" (or similar name) from the list.
- Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. The LED will stop flashing once connected.
- Repeat for up to 4 different devices, assigning each to a different pairing button.

1. Realforce Software Customization
Utilize the Realforce software to access advanced settings and personalize your keyboard experience. The software allows you to save changes directly to the keyboard's on-board memory.

- APC (Actuation Point Changer) Setting: Adjust the actuation point depth for individual keys from 0.8mm, 1.5mm, 2.2mm, or 3.0mm.
- Heat Map: Visually identify frequently used keys to optimize their actuation points or other customizable settings.
- Custom Keymap Function: Reassign key functions as desired.
- Key Layout Switching: Switch between two predefined key layouts (A or B) to adapt to different applications or operating systems.

2. Switching Between Paired Devices
To switch between devices paired via Bluetooth, simply press the corresponding device pairing button (1, 2, 3, or 4) that you assigned during the initial setup. The keyboard will automatically connect to the selected device.
Maintenance
To maintain the performance and appearance of your Realforce R3 keyboard, follow these guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and chassis. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Dust Removal: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps and switches.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: Replace AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears or performance degrades. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding (Wired): Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
- Keyboard not responding (Wireless): Check if the batteries are correctly installed and charged. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard is paired. Try re-pairing the keyboard.
- Keys not registering: Clean the affected key area with compressed air. If using APC, ensure the actuation point is set appropriately.
- Software not detecting keyboard: Ensure the keyboard is connected (wired or wireless) and the Realforce software is up-to-date. Restart the software and/or your computer.
- Bluetooth connection unstable: Ensure the keyboard is within range of your device. Minimize interference from other wireless devices.
