2. Compatibility

The Microlife XLSC replacement cuff is clinically tested for accuracy with all Microlife automatic upper arm blood pressure monitors. It is not compatible with manual/aneroid, professional upper arm, or wrist blood pressure units.

The cuff includes three different connectors to ensure compatibility with various Microlife manufactured upper arm blood pressure monitors.

3. Cuff Sizing and Fit

Correct cuff fit is essential for obtaining accurate blood pressure readings. An improperly sized cuff can lead to incorrect measurements.

3.1 How to Measure Your Arm

To determine the correct cuff size, wrap a fabric measuring tape around the thickest part of your upper arm. The Microlife XLSC cuff is designed to fit arm circumferences between 12.6 inches (32 cm) and 20.5 inches (52 cm).

4.2 Connecting the Cuff

Select the appropriate connector from the three provided that matches your Microlife blood pressure monitor. Firmly insert the cuff's air tube into the monitor's air jack. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leakage during measurement.

5. Operating Instructions: Applying the Cuff

Follow these steps to correctly apply the blood pressure cuff for an accurate reading:

  1. Step 1: Position the Cuff
Slide the cuff onto your upper arm. The bottom edge of the cuff should be approximately 1/2 inch (1-2 cm) above your elbow. Ensure the artery mark on the cuff is positioned directly over your brachial artery.
  2. Step 2: Tighten the Cuff
Tighten the cuff until it is snug against your arm, but not overly tight. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the cuff and your arm. The contoured design and Grip-Strips help keep the cuff in place.
  3. Step 3: Prepare for Measurement
Sit down and relax. Rest your arm, with the cuff applied, palm up on a table or flat surface. Follow the specific instructions provided with your Microlife blood pressure monitor to initiate the measurement process.
