Setup
1. Unpacking and Contents Verification
Carefully remove the printer and all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:
- Epson EcoTank ET-2720 All-in-One Printer
- Power cord
- 1x bottle 522 Black ink (65 mL)
- 1x bottle 522 Cyan ink (65 mL)
- 1x bottle 522 Magenta ink (65 mL)
- 1x bottle 522 Yellow ink (65 mL)
- Setup Guide / Manual (this document)
- CD-ROM for product setup (drivers and software)
2. Filling the Ink Tanks
The EcoTank system uses ink bottles instead of cartridges. Follow these steps to fill the ink tanks:
- Open the ink tank unit cover on the side of the printer.
- Uncap the black ink bottle (BK).
- Align the bottle with the corresponding black ink tank and insert it. The ink will automatically start filling. Do not squeeze the bottle.
- Once the tank is full, the ink flow will stop. Remove the bottle and recap it.
- Repeat the process for the Cyan (C), Magenta (M), and Yellow (Y) ink tanks, ensuring each bottle is matched to its correct color tank.
- Close the ink tank unit cover.
Important: Use only genuine Epson ink bottles designed for your EcoTank printer. Using non-Epson ink may cause damage not covered by the warranty.
3. Power Connection
Connect the power cord to the printer and then to a grounded electrical outlet. Press the power button (ⓘ) located on the control panel to turn on the printer. The power light will illuminate.
The control panel features a 1.44-inch color LCD screen, navigation buttons (up, down, left, right, OK), a back button, a home button, and dedicated buttons for copy, scan, and Wi-Fi functions.
4. Software Installation
Insert the provided CD-ROM into your computer's optical drive and follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer drivers and utility software. Alternatively, you can download the latest software from the official Epson support website.
5. Wireless Setup
To connect your printer to a wireless network:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wi-Fi setup menu.
- Select your wireless network (SSID) from the list.
- Enter your network password (WPA/WPA2 key) using the control panel buttons.
- Confirm the settings. The Wi-Fi indicator light on the printer will confirm a successful connection.

Open the paper support and pull out the output tray. Load paper into the rear paper feed slot, ensuring the print side is facing up. Adjust the edge guides to fit the width of the paper. The input tray capacity is 100 sheets of plain paper or 20 sheets of photo paper.
2. Printing Documents and Photos
From your computer or mobile device, select the print option in your application. Choose the Epson ET-2720 as your printer. Adjust print settings such as paper size, type, and quality as needed. Click "Print".
The printer supports various paper sizes including 3.5" x 5", 4" x 6", 5" x 7", 8" x 10", 8.5" x 11" (Letter), 8.5" x 14" (Legal), A4, A6, half letter, and executive. It also supports borderless photo printing.

Maintenance
1. Checking and Refilling Ink Levels
Regularly check the ink levels in the transparent ink tanks. When a tank is low, refill it using the corresponding Epson 522 ink bottle, following the same procedure as during initial setup. Do not let ink levels fall below the lowest line indicated on the tank.
2. Cleaning the Print Head
If print quality declines (e.g., missing lines, blurry text), perform a print head cleaning. This can be done through the printer's control panel menu or via the Epson printer utility software on your computer. This process uses a small amount of ink to clear clogged nozzles.
3. Cleaning the Scanner Glass
To ensure clear scans and copies, periodically clean the scanner glass with a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with a mild glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials or excessive liquid.
4. Paper Jam Resolution
If a paper jam occurs, the printer's LCD screen will display an error message. Carefully open the printer covers and gently pull out any jammed paper in the direction of the paper path. Avoid tearing the paper, as small pieces can remain and cause further issues. Refer to the on-screen instructions for specific jam locations.
