2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using this product.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the shredder and all packaging materials from the box.
  2. Position: Place the shredder on a flat, stable surface. Ensure the casters are locked if you do not intend to move it frequently.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Prepare for Use: Ensure the waste bin is correctly seated and the shredder head is securely in place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off and Mode Selection

  • Auto Mode: Slide the switch to "Auto". The shredder will automatically start when paper is inserted and stop when shredding is complete.
  • Off Mode: Slide the switch to "Off" to power down the shredder. Always turn off and unplug the shredder when not in use.
  • Reverse Mode: Slide the switch to "Reverse" to clear paper jams. This will reverse the cutting blades.

5.2 Shredding Paper

  • Ensure the shredder is in "Auto" mode.
  • Insert up to 18 sheets of standard 20lb letter-size paper into the paper entry slot. Do not exceed the maximum capacity to prevent jams.

  • The shredder features a 60-minute continuous running time due to its advanced cooling system. Allow the shredder to cool down if it reaches its thermal limit.

5.3 Shredding Credit Cards and Staples

  • The shredder is designed to shred credit cards and staples.
  • Insert one credit card at a time into the designated slot (if present, otherwise use the main paper entry).
  • Staples can be shredded along with paper documents.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Using Lubricant Sheets

Regular use of lubricant sheets helps maintain the shredder's blades, reduces static dust, and improves shredding efficiency.

  1. Ensure the shredder is in "Auto" mode.
  2. Feed one lubricant sheet directly into the paper entry slot, just like a piece of paper.
  3. Allow the sheet to be completely shredded.
  4. After shredding, set the shredder to "Reverse" for approximately 10 seconds to complete the lubrication process and distribute the oil.

6.2 Emptying the Waste Bin

  • When the waste bin is full, turn off and unplug the shredder.
  • Carefully pull out the waste bin.
  • Empty the shredded material into a suitable recycling or disposal container.
  • Replace the waste bin securely before resuming operation.

6.3 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the shredder before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the shredder with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not allow liquids to enter the shredder head.
