4. Installation and Setup
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your shower system. This system is designed for concealed installation within a wall or ceiling structure.

Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Installation Area: Ensure adequate space within the wall or ceiling for the valve body and plumbing connections. The minimum depth in the ceiling for concealed support poles should be 10 inches.

5. Operating Instructions
Your Enga Rain Shower System features independent controls for each function and a thermostatic valve for precise temperature management.

- Temperature Control: The bottom knob controls the water temperature. Rotate it to adjust between hot (H) and cold (C). The thermostatic valve is preset to 38°C (100°F) for safety. To exceed this temperature, press the safety button on the knob and continue rotating towards 'H'.
- Function Selection: The upper knobs control the individual shower functions. Turn a knob to the 'ON' position to activate the desired function (rain shower, handheld, or body jets). Turn to 'OFF' to deactivate.
- Flow Adjustment: The flow rate for each function can be adjusted by rotating its respective knob.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your shower system.
- Cleaning Nozzles: The rain shower head and handheld shower feature soft silicone nozzles. To clean any mineral buildup, simply rub the nozzles with your finger.
- General Cleaning: Clean the brushed nickel finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Valve Inspection: Periodically inspect the thermostatic valve and other components for any signs of wear or damage.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your shower system, refer to the common problems and solutions below.
Video 7.1: This video demonstrates how to troubleshoot and fix water temperature issues, including adjusting the hot stop ring and checking the temperature valve stem.
Common Issues and Solutions:
- No Mixed Water / No Hot or Cold Water:
- Ensure the plastic (black/white color) hot stop ring on the thermostatic valve sits properly, with the opening facing the right.
- Match the two dark blue marks on the temperature valve stem.
- If the issue persists, unscrew the check-valve (white piece) with a flat screwdriver to check if it is broken or blocked. Clean it if blocked; replace it if broken.
- Low Water Pressure: Check for mineral buildup in the shower head or handheld nozzles and clean them as described in the Maintenance section. Ensure water supply valves are fully open.
- Leaks: Inspect all connections for tightness. If leaks persist, professional plumbing assistance may be required.
