5. Setup

5.1 Installing Batteries

5.2 Setting Date and Time

1. With the meter off, press and hold the 'M' button until the setup screen appears.
2. Use the 'C' and 'D' buttons to adjust the year, month, day, hour, and minute.
3. Press the 'M' button to confirm each setting and move to the next.
4. Once all settings are confirmed, the meter will return to standby mode.

5.3 Preparing the Lancing Device

1. Unscrew the lancing device cap.
2. Insert a new sterile lancet firmly into the lancet holder.

5. Adjust the penetration depth by rotating the cap (start with a lower setting and adjust as needed).
6. Pull back the cocking barrel until it clicks, indicating it is ready to use.

6. Operating Instructions: Performing a Blood Glucose Test

Follow these steps for accurate blood glucose measurement:

1. Prepare: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Dry them completely.
2. Insert Test Strip: Insert a new Sinocare Safe Accu test strip into the meter's test strip port. The meter will automatically turn on and display a blood drop symbol.
3. Obtain Blood Sample: Use the prepared lancing device to prick the side of your fingertip. Gently squeeze your finger to form a small drop of blood.
4. Apply Blood Sample: Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The strip will draw the blood into the reaction area. Do not apply blood to the top of the strip.
5. Read Result: The meter will count down for 10 seconds, then display your blood glucose result in mmol/L.
6. Eject Strip: Press the strip ejection button to safely dispose of the used test strip into a sharps container.
