3. Device Overview

  • Power Button / Mode Switch: Press and hold to power on/off. Short press to switch between Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) modes.

  • 3.5mm AUX IN Port (Red): Used for audio input in Transmitter mode.

4. Charging the Device

The device features a built-in 300 mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, providing up to 8 hours of operation. Before first use, fully charge the device.

  1. Connect the Micro USB charging cable to the device's Micro USB port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a standard USB power adapter (5V) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The LED indicator will show charging status (e.g., red while charging, off when fully charged).

5. Setup and Operation

The device automatically switches between Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) modes based on the connected audio cables. Ensure the device is charged before use.

5.1. Bluetooth Receiver Mode (RX)

Use this mode to receive audio from a Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) and play it through a non-Bluetooth audio system (e.g., car stereo, home Hi-Fi, wired headphones/speakers).

  1. Connect the Receiver: Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the device's 3.5mm AUX OUT port (black). Connect the other end to the AUX input of your car stereo, home Hi-Fi system, or directly to your wired headphones/speakers. If your audio system uses RCA inputs, use the provided RCA cable.
  2. Power On: Press and hold the power button on the Retoo device until the LED indicator flashes. The device will automatically enter Receiver mode.
  3. Pair with your Device: On your smartphone or tablet, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices. Select "RT-B6" from the list of available devices.
  4. Confirm Connection: Once paired, the LED indicator on the Retoo device will change (e.g., solid blue). You can now play audio from your Bluetooth device, and it will be transmitted to your connected audio system.

5.2. Bluetooth Transmitter Mode (TX)

Use this mode to transmit audio from a non-Bluetooth audio source (e.g., TV, CD player, old Hi-Fi system) to a Bluetooth-enabled receiving device (e.g., Bluetooth headphones, Bluetooth speakers).

  1. Connect the Transmitter: Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the device's 3.5mm AUX IN port (red). Connect the other end to the audio output port (e.g., headphone jack, AUX out) of your TV, computer, or Hi-Fi system. If your audio source uses RCA outputs, use the provided RCA cable.
  2. Power On: Press and hold the power button on the Retoo device until the LED indicator flashes. The device will automatically enter Transmitter mode.
  3. Prepare Receiving Device: Put your Bluetooth headphones or speakers into pairing mode. Ensure they are not currently paired with another device.
  4. Automatic Pairing: The Retoo device will automatically search for and connect to nearby Bluetooth receiving devices in pairing mode.
  5. Confirm Connection: Once paired, the LED indicator on the Retoo device will change (e.g., solid blue). Audio from your source device will now be transmitted wirelessly to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
