Setup and Placement
Unpacking
Carefully remove the speakers from their packaging. Inspect for any damage. It is recommended to retain the original packaging for future transport or storage.
Speaker Placement
For optimal surround sound, position the RP-502S II speakers to the sides or slightly behind the main listening area. The Wide Dispersion Surround Technology allows for flexible placement while maintaining sound quality. The speakers can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall using the integrated keyhole mounting system.

Connections
Connect the speaker wires from your amplifier or receiver to the binding posts on the back of each RP-502S II speaker. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive and negative to negative) for optimal audio performance. Incorrect polarity can result in poor sound quality.

Operation
Initial Power On
Once all connections are secure, power on your amplifier or receiver and select the appropriate audio source. Ensure that the speakers are properly recognized by your audio system.
Volume Control
Adjust the volume using your amplifier or receiver's controls. Start at a low volume and gradually increase to a comfortable listening level. Avoid excessively high volumes to prevent potential damage to the speakers or your hearing.
Audio Settings
Refer to your amplifier or receiver's manual for specific settings related to surround sound configuration, speaker levels, and crossover frequencies. Proper calibration of these settings will optimize the performance of your RP-502S II speakers within your home theater system.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Dust the speaker cabinets with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth followed by a dry cloth may be used.
Grille Care
The magnetic grilles can be removed for cleaning or for a different aesthetic. Handle them gently to prevent damage to the grille fabric or the magnetic attachment points. If cleaning the grilles, use a soft brush or lint roller to remove dust.
Environmental Considerations
Avoid placing speakers in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity. Ensure adequate ventilation around the speakers to prevent overheating, especially if they are enclosed in a cabinet.
Troubleshooting
No Sound
- Check all speaker wire connections at both the speaker and the amplifier/receiver. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- Verify the amplifier/receiver is powered on and the correct input source is selected.
- Confirm the volume is not muted or set too low on your audio system.
Distorted Sound
- Reduce the volume level on your amplifier/receiver. Overdriving the speakers can cause distortion.
- Check for loose speaker wire connections at both ends.
- Ensure the speaker wires are not frayed or shorting against each other or the speaker terminals.
- Verify that the amplifier's power output is within the speaker's recommended range.
Uneven Sound or Poor Imaging
- Check speaker balance settings on your amplifier/receiver.
- Ensure speakers are placed symmetrically relative to the listening position and are at a similar height.
- Confirm that all speakers are wired with correct polarity.
