2. Product Overview

The EZVIZ CB8 2K camera is a 100% wire-free outdoor security camera designed for comprehensive surveillance. It features a 2K resolution, 360-degree panoramic view, AI-powered human detection, auto-tracking, and color night vision. Its battery-powered design offers flexible placement options without the need for constant power outlets.

3.2. Installation

The CB8 camera is designed for wall mounting. Use the provided drill template to mark the screw positions. Secure the mounting plate to the desired outdoor location using the screw kit. Ensure the camera is placed in an area with good Wi-Fi signal and, if using, sufficient sunlight for the optional solar panel.

3.3. App Setup

1. Download the EZVIZ app from your smartphone's app store (available on Google Play and Apple App Store).
2. Create an EZVIZ account or log in if you already have one.
3. Tap the '+' icon in the app to add a new device.
4. Scan the QR code located on the camera or its packaging.
5. Follow the in-app instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network.

3.4. Powering On and Charging

The CB8 camera is equipped with a 10400mAH battery, providing up to 210 days of battery life on a single charge under optimal conditions. For continuous power without manual recharging, connect the camera to a compatible EZVIZ Solar Panel (sold separately). The camera will automatically begin charging when connected to the solar panel and exposed to sunlight.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Live View & Playback

Access the EZVIZ app to view live footage from your camera in 2K resolution. The pan-and-tilt functionality allows you to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle to cover a 360-degree field of view. Recorded footage can be accessed and played back through the app.

4.2. Motion Detection & Auto-Tracking

The camera features a PIR sensor and AI-powered human shape detection. When a person is detected, the camera will send an alert to your smartphone and can automatically track the detected individual across its field of view. This helps in focusing on relevant events rather than trivial movements.

4.3. Night Vision

The CB8 offers versatile night vision options:

• Color Night Vision: Provides full-color video even in low-light conditions.

4.4. Two-Way Talk

Utilize the built-in microphone and speaker for two-way communication. This allows you to speak to visitors or deter unwanted individuals directly through the EZVIZ app.

4.5. Storage

The camera supports local storage via a MicroSD card (up to 256GB, sold separately) for continuous recording. Additionally, EZVIZ offers cloud storage options for secure backup of your video footage (subscription may be required).

5.1. Battery Charging

Regularly check the battery status via the EZVIZ app. Recharge the camera using the provided power adapter or ensure the optional solar panel is clean and receiving adequate sunlight for optimal charging.

5.2. Cleaning

Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the camera's finish or lens.

5.3. Firmware Updates

Periodically check the EZVIZ app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures access to the latest features, security enhancements, and bug fixes.

6. Troubleshooting

• Connectivity Issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong at the camera's location. Restart your router and the camera if connection problems persist.
• Motion Detection Inaccuracies: Adjust the motion detection sensitivity and detection zones within the EZVIZ app to minimize false alarms.
• Battery Draining Quickly: Verify the solar panel (if used) is receiving direct sunlight for at least 4-6 hours daily. Reduce the frequency of recordings or live view sessions if not using a solar panel.
• Cannot Remotely Turn Off Camera: The EZVIZ app typically offers privacy modes or scheduling options to disable recording during specific times. Consult the app's settings for these features.
• Poor Night Vision: Ensure the camera lens is clean and there are no obstructions blocking the infrared lights or spotlight.
