5. Setup and Installation

5.2 Electrical Connection

  • Carefully align the pins and connect the display cable to the controller. The SM connector is approximately 180cm long. If using a WP connector, it is about 21cm long and may require a 1-to-4 cable for connection to the controller.

6. Operating Instructions

The KT LED-880 display provides essential information and control for your electric bicycle.

6.1 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds. The display will light up, indicating the system is active.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds. The display will turn off. The system will also automatically shut down if the motor is not used for a consecutive 5 minutes.

6.2 Adjusting PAS Gear

  • Press the MODE button to cycle through the different Pedal Assist System (PAS) gears (LOW, MED, HIGH).
  • Each press will change the assist level, allowing you to select the desired amount of motor assistance.

6.3 6 km/h Assist Function

  • To activate the auxiliary push function, press and hold the '6 km/h' button. This function provides a low-speed assist, making it easier to push the e-bike when walking alongside it.

6.4 General Operation Video

7. Battery Indicator

The display features four LED indicators to show the battery's charge level:

  • All 4 LEDs Lit: Battery capacity is greater than 80%.
  • LEDs Turn Off Sequentially: As the battery capacity drops, the indicators will turn off in order.
  • Last LED Flashing (L side): Battery capacity is less than 20%.
  • All 4 LEDs Off: The controller is under-voltage protection, indicating the vehicle is currently shut down due to low voltage.

8. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your KT LED-880 display, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the display clean by wiping it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
