3. Setup

1. Unpacking:

   Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.

2. Initial Cleaning:

   Before first use, wash the detachable griddle plate, stainless steel grease guard, spatula, and oil drip tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth.

3. Assembly:

   • Ensure the main unit is placed on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or flammable materials.
   • Insert the oil drip tray into its designated slot beneath the cooking surface.
   • Place the detachable griddle plate securely onto the main unit.
   • Position the stainless steel grease guard at the back of the cooking surface if desired.

4. Power Connection:

   Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is easily accessible.

4. Operating Instructions

1. Preheating:

   Turn the temperature control knob to your desired setting. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is heating. Allow 5-10 minutes for the appliance to reach the set temperature. The 500°F searing zone will heat rapidly.

2. Cooking:

   Once preheated, carefully place food onto the nonstick cooking surface. Use the grill side for searing meats or vegetables, and the griddle side for pancakes, eggs, or other flat items. The integrated 500°F searing zone is ideal for achieving a perfect crust on meats.

   • For optimal nonstick performance, a small amount of cooking oil or spray can be used, especially for the first few uses.

3. Temperature Control:

   Adjust the temperature knob as needed during cooking. The double thermostat ensures even heat distribution across both cooking surfaces.

4. After Use:

   Once cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob to the "OFF" position and unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. Allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning.

   The detachable griddle plate, stainless steel grease guard, and oil drip tray are BPA-free and dishwasher-safe. For best results, wash them on the top rack of your dishwasher. Alternatively, they can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

3. Cleaning the Main Unit:

   Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid. For stubborn spots, a mild detergent can be used on the cloth, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.

4. Storage:

   Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place. Do not wrap the power cord tightly around the appliance; coil it loosely.
