This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Sharp XL-BH250 Limited Edition 5-Disc Bluetooth Speaker System. This micro system offers a versatile audio experience with its 5-CD changer, digital player, AM/FM radio, USB input, and Bluetooth connectivity, all housed in a distinctive Champagne Gold and Carbon Fiber finish.

1. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your new audio system.

1.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed below are present:

1.2 Speaker Connection

Connect the speaker wires from the main unit to the corresponding terminals on the back of each speaker. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for optimal sound quality.

1.3 Antenna Connection

For AM reception, connect the supplied AM loop antenna to the AM antenna terminals on the rear of the main unit. For FM reception, connect the supplied FM wire antenna to the FM antenna terminal. Extend the FM wire antenna fully for best reception.

1.4 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into the AC inlet on the rear of the main unit, then plug the other end into a standard AC wall outlet (120V AC, 60Hz).

1.5 Initial Power On

Press the ON/STANDBY button on the front panel or the remote control to turn on the system. The display will illuminate.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Power On/Off

Press the ON/STANDBY button to toggle the system between On and Standby modes. In Standby mode, the system consumes minimal power.

2.2 Source Selection

Press the FUNCTION button on the front panel or remote control repeatedly to cycle through available input sources: CD, Bluetooth, USB, AM, FM, and AUDIO IN.

2.3 CD Playback

  1. Press the FUNCTION button to select the CD source.
  2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button (if available, or refer to disc slot) to open the CD tray.
  3. Place up to five CDs into the disc slots. Ensure the discs are placed correctly with the label side facing up.
  4. Press PLAY/PAUSE (►/‖) to begin playback.
  5. Use the SKIP (◀◀/►►) buttons to navigate between tracks.
  6. Press STOP (■) to stop playback.

The system supports CD-RW, CD-R, WMA, and MP3 playback formats.

2.4 Bluetooth Connectivity

The system allows wireless audio streaming from Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  1. Press the FUNCTION button to select the Bluetooth source. The display will show "BLUETOOTH" and begin searching for devices.
  2. On your Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "SHARP XL-BH250" from the list of found devices.
  4. Once paired, the system will confirm the connection, and you can begin streaming audio.
  5. For devices with NFC, simply tap the device to the NFC touchpoint on the system to initiate pairing.

2.5 USB Playback

Connect a USB flash drive containing MP3 or WMA audio files to the USB port on the front of the main unit. Select the USB source using the FUNCTION button. Playback will begin automatically or can be controlled using the playback buttons.

2.6 AM/FM Radio

  1. Press the FUNCTION button to select AM or FM radio.
  2. Use the TUNING buttons (often combined with skip buttons) to manually tune to a station.
  3. To auto-scan and store presets, refer to the detailed instructions in the full manual (not provided here, but common functionality). The system supports 40 presets.

Avoid touching the CD lens inside the disc tray. If the lens becomes dirty, use a commercially available CD lens cleaner disc. Do not attempt to clean the lens manually.

Keep the speaker grilles free from dust. Do not press on the speaker cones, as this can cause damage.
