This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your BougeRV 30 Quart Portable 12V Refrigerator/Freezer, Model CR28. Please read this manual thoroughly before initial use and retain it for future reference.
2. Safety Information
- Initial Placement: After transport, allow the unit to stand upright for at least 24 hours before connecting it to a power source. This allows the refrigerant to settle, preventing potential damage to the compressor.
- Sunlight Exposure: Do not place the refrigerator in direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the refrigerator door to deform and negatively affect cooling efficiency.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating.
- Power Source: Use only the provided power cords (DC and AC) with the unit. Ensure the power source matches the voltage requirements of the refrigerator.
- Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse the unit in water.

4. Setup
4.1 Initial Placement and Power Connection
After unboxing, place the refrigerator on a stable, level surface. As noted in the safety information, allow the unit to stand upright for 24 hours before plugging it in. Connect the appropriate power cord (DC for vehicle, AC for home/power station) to the unit and then to the power source.

4.2 Battery Protection Settings
The refrigerator features a 3-level battery monitor to prevent draining your vehicle's battery. You can select the desired voltage cut-off level (H, M, L) to ensure your vehicle's battery retains sufficient charge for starting. The factory default voltage protection level is set to H mode.

Note: When using a 12V/24V DC power supply, such as a 12V battery, the input voltage must be higher than the 'Cut In' voltage for the refrigerator to operate. If the voltage drops below the 'Cut Out' voltage, the refrigerator will automatically shut off to protect the battery.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel allows you to power the unit on/off, adjust temperature, and select operating modes.

5.2 Temperature Adjustment and Modes
The refrigerator can function as both a refrigerator and a freezer. Use the temperature increase (+) and decrease (-) buttons to set your desired temperature. The unit offers two operating modes:
- MAX Mode: Provides rapid cooling for quick temperature reduction.
- ECO Mode: Energy-saving mode for sustained operation with lower power consumption.

For optimal cooling, it is recommended to pre-cool food and drinks before placing them in the unit.
5.3 Recommended Temperature Settings

The unit can maintain temperatures from -8°F to 50°F (-22°C to 10°C).
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the refrigerator. Use a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
6.2 Insulated Cover
The included insulated cover helps to minimize external heat ingress, improving efficiency and protecting the unit from scratches and dirt.
