Safety Information
Important Warning Regarding Magnets:
Keep the mask magnets at a safe distance of at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from implants or medical devices that may be adversely affected by magnetic interference. This warning applies to you or anyone in close physical contact with your mask. The magnets are located in the frame and lower headgear clips, with a magnetic field strength of up to 400mT. When worn, they connect to secure the mask but may inadvertently detach while asleep.
Contraindications:
Masks with magnetic components are contraindicated for use by patients where they, or anyone in close physical contact while using the mask, have the following:
- Active medical implants that interact with magnets (e.g., pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD), neurostimulators, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunts, insulin/infusion pumps).
- Metallic implants/objects containing ferromagnetic material (e.g., aneurysm clips/flow disruption devices, embolic coils, stents, valves, electrodes, implants to restore hearing or balance with implanted magnets, ocular implants, metallic splinters in the eye).
Setup and Fitting
The AirFit F30i Wide cushion is designed for easy integration with your existing AirFit F30i mask system. Ensure you have the correct cushion size for optimal comfort and seal.

Operating the Mask System
Once the cushion is attached to the mask frame and the headgear is properly adjusted, the mask system is ready for use with your CPAP device. The UltraCompact design allows the cushion to rest comfortably under your nose, minimizing contact with the nasal bridge.

Ensure a secure but comfortable fit. The top-of-head tube connection provides flexibility, allowing you to sleep in various positions without compromising the seal or comfort.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AirFit F30i Wide cushion, consider the following:
- Leakage: Check if the cushion is properly seated in the mask frame. Ensure the headgear is adjusted for a snug, but not overly tight, fit. Inspect the cushion for any tears or damage that might compromise the seal.
- Discomfort/Red Marks: Re-evaluate the headgear tension. The mask should be secure without causing excessive pressure. Ensure the cushion size is appropriate for your face. If discomfort persists, the cushion may need replacement or a different mask size/type might be more suitable.
- Difficulty Breathing: Ensure the mask vents are clear and not obstructed. If the issue persists, consult your healthcare provider or CPAP equipment supplier.
