1. Important Safety Instructions

When using your steam iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. Read all instructions before using this appliance.

  • Always unplug the iron from the electrical outlet when filling with water, emptying, or when not in use.
  • Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. Contact customer support for assistance.
  • To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
  • The iron should always be turned to the minimum temperature setting before plugging or unplugging from the outlet.
  • Never pull on the cord to disconnect from the outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
  • Allow the iron to cool completely before storing.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children.

3. Setup

3.1 Before First Use

Remove any labels, protective film, or stickers from the iron's soleplate and body. It is recommended to iron an old piece of fabric first to ensure no residue is transferred to your garments.

3.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the electrical outlet and cooled down.
  2. Set the steam selector to the 'Dry Iron' position (no steam).
  3. Open the water fill cover located on the top of the iron.
  4. Using the provided measuring cup, carefully pour tap water into the water tank. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line.
  5. Close the water fill cover securely.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Temperature Settings

The iron features an adjustable temperature control dial suitable for various fabric types. Always check the garment's care label before ironing.

  • Low Temperature: Silk, Nylon
  • Medium Temperature: Wool
  • High Temperature: Cotton, Linen

Turn the temperature dial to the desired setting. The indicator light will illuminate while the iron is heating and turn off when the set temperature is reached.

4.2 Ironing Functions

4.2.1 Dry Ironing

For dry ironing, ensure the water tank is empty or the steam selector is set to the 'Dry Iron' position. Select the appropriate temperature and wait for the indicator light to turn off before ironing.

4.2.2 Steam Ironing

  1. Fill the water tank as described in Section 3.2.
  2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature dial to a steam-compatible setting (usually wool, cotton, or linen).
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, move the steam selector to the desired steam level.
  4. Begin ironing.

4.2.3 Vertical Steam

The vertical steam function allows you to steam hanging garments or drapes. Hold the iron vertically, press the 'Burst of Steam' button, and direct the steam towards the fabric. Ensure the iron is at a high temperature setting for optimal steam output.

4.2.4 Spray Mist

To dampen stubborn wrinkles, press the 'Spray Mist' button. This will release a fine mist of water from the nozzle at the front of the iron.

4.2.5 Burst of Steam

For extra stubborn wrinkles, press the 'Burst of Steam' button. This releases a powerful shot of steam. Allow a few seconds between bursts for the steam to regenerate.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The self-cleaning function helps remove mineral deposits and impurities from the steam vents. Perform this function monthly or as needed.

  1. Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' line.
  2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature to the highest setting.
  3. Once the iron reaches maximum temperature (indicator light turns off), unplug it.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the self-clean button (if available, otherwise use the burst of steam button repeatedly) until all water has drained from the tank, carrying out impurities.
  6. Move the iron back and forth to ensure all water is expelled.
  7. Plug the iron back in and allow it to heat up again to dry out any remaining water.
  8. Unplug and store once cooled.

5.2 Cleaning the Soleplate

To clean the soleplate, ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use harsh scouring pads or metallic cleaners as they can damage the soleplate.

5.3 Storage

After each use, empty any remaining water from the tank. Allow the iron to cool completely before storing it upright in a safe, dry place. Do not wrap the cord tightly around the iron while it is still warm.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your iron, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
