5. Setup

Before first use, or if the unit has been stored for an extended period, ensure the Alpha 65 is fully charged.

5.1 Initial Charging

1. Connect the SC 65W Charger to the Type-C input port on the Alpha 65.
2. Plug the charger into a wall outlet.
3. The display will show the charging progress. The unit can be fully recharged in approximately 40 minutes with the 65W charger.
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Jump Starting a Vehicle

The Alpha 65 is designed to jump start vehicles with gas engines up to 6.5L and diesel engines up to 4.0L. It can provide up to 60 jump starts on a single charge.

1. Connect Clamps: Ensure the Alpha 65 is off. Connect the red (positive) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle battery and the black (negative) clamp to the negative (-) terminal.
2. Power On: Turn on the Alpha 65. The 3.2-inch display will show "READY" when the connection is correct and safe to proceed.
3. Start Vehicle: Start your vehicle's engine. If the vehicle does not start immediately, wait 20-30 seconds before attempting again.
4. Disconnect: Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the clamps from the battery terminals, first the black (negative) clamp, then the red (positive) clamp.

For completely dead batteries, the unit features a Boost Function. Refer to the display for instructions on activating this mode if needed.

6.2 Charging Electronic Devices

The Alpha 65 can charge various electronic devices using its multiple output ports.

• USB-A (QC3.0): Connect your device using a standard USB-A cable for fast charging compatible devices.
• Type-C (PD18W): Connect your device using a USB-C cable for Power Delivery fast charging.
• 12V/10A DC: Use the 12V DC cigarette lighter socket adapter to power or charge 12V accessories like tire pumps or car refrigerators.

6.3 Using the LED Flashlight

The integrated LED flashlight has 5 modes for various uses:

1. Press the flashlight button once to turn on the standard illumination mode.
2. Press again to cycle through different modes (e.g., SOS, Strobe).
3. Press and hold to turn off the flashlight.

7. Maintenance and Storage

• Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Charging: For optimal battery life, recharge the Alpha 65 every 3-6 months, even if not in use.
• Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Ensure all ports are closed to maintain the IP65 rating.
• Battery: The unit contains a Lithium-polymer battery. Do not attempt to disassemble or replace the battery.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Alpha 65, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Unit does not turn on: Ensure the unit is charged. If the battery is completely depleted, it may require a few minutes of charging before the display activates.
• Vehicle does not start:
  • Check that the clamps are securely connected to the correct battery terminals.
  • Ensure the Alpha 65 has sufficient charge.
  • If the battery is completely dead, activate the Boost Function as indicated on the display.
  • The vehicle's battery may be severely damaged and require professional service.

• Device not charging from USB/DC ports: Ensure the Alpha 65 is powered on and has sufficient charge. Check the connection cable and the device being charged.
