5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Hand wash the tent fabric with mild soap and water. Do not machine wash or use harsh detergents, as this can damage the waterproof coating.
  • Drying: Always ensure the tent is completely dry before packing it away to prevent mildew and odor. Air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
  • Storage: Store the tent in its original storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Pole Care: Inspect fiberglass poles for cracks or damage before and after each use. Clean poles if they become dirty.
  • Zipper Care: Keep zippers clean and free of debris. Lubricate occasionally with a silicone-based zipper lubricant if they become stiff.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Difficulty Setting Up: Ensure all poles are fully assembled and correctly inserted into their sleeves. Refer to the setup instructions and diagrams.
  • Water Leakage: While the tent is water-resistant (PU 1500mm), heavy or prolonged rain may cause minor leaks. Ensure all zippers are fully closed and the rainfly is properly tensioned and staked. For extreme conditions, consider additional waterproofing spray.
  • Condensation Inside Tent: Condensation is natural, especially in humid conditions. Maximize ventilation by opening windows and doors when weather permits.
  • Tent Not Stable: Ensure all stakes are firmly driven into the ground and guy ropes are properly tensioned. If using with a cot, ensure the tent is securely fastened to the cot frame.
