5. Setup

The call buttons come with batteries pre-installed. Before use, you must pair them with a compatible DAYTECH receiver (sold separately).

5.1 Pairing the Call Button with a Receiver

Follow these steps to pair your call button with a DAYTECH receiver:

  1. Prepare the Receiver: Ensure your DAYTECH receiver is powered on and ready for pairing.
  2. Enter Pairing Mode on Receiver: On the receiver, long press the volume adjustment button until you hear a "Ding-dong" sound. This indicates the receiver has entered pairing mode.
  3. Activate Call Button: While the receiver is in pairing mode, press the "CALL" button on your transmitter (call button).
  4. Confirmation: You will hear a "Ding" sound from the receiver, confirming that the call button and receiver are successfully paired.

5.2 Placement and Range

The call button can be placed in various locations due to its portability and waterproof design. The system offers a reception range of up to 150 meters in open areas. Consider placing receivers strategically to cover all necessary areas.

6. Operation

6.1 Sending an Alert

Once paired, simply press the large "CALL" button on the transmitter to send an SOS signal to the paired receiver. The receiver will emit a sound and light signal to alert the caregiver or family member.

6.2 Adjusting Volume and Melodies (Receiver Function)

Your DAYTECH receiver (sold separately) allows for customization of alert sounds:

  • Volume Adjustment: The receiver offers 5 levels of volume adjustment, from 0dB (mute) to 110dB, allowing you to choose a suitable sound level for your environment.
  • Melody Selection: Choose from 20 different melodies to personalize your alert sound.

6.3 System Expansion

The DAYTECH Care Bell system is expandable. You can add up to 30 additional transmitters (call buttons) and receivers to your system, allowing for comprehensive coverage in larger homes or facilities.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Battery Replacement (Call Button)

The call button uses a 12V 23A battery. When the battery is low, the receiver (if it has a low battery indicator) may alert you. To replace the battery:

  1. Open the Casing: Use the provided mini screwdriver or a similar tool to carefully pry open the three screws on the back of the call button.
  2. Replace Battery: Remove the old 12V 23A battery and insert a new one, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close Casing: Securely close the casing by aligning the two halves and tightening the screws.

7.2 Cleaning

Wipe the call button with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water, despite its IP55 rating, to prolong its lifespan.
