2. Product Overview
The NGTeco ML300 is a versatile smart door lock offering multiple unlocking methods for enhanced security and convenience. It features a fingerprint sensor, electronic keypad for passcodes, Bluetooth connectivity via the NGTeco Home app, and traditional physical keys. With an optional Wi-Fi Gateway (sold separately), it can also integrate with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control and remote access.

3. Installation Guide
This section provides step-by-step instructions for installing your NGTeco ML300 Smart Lock. For a visual guide, please refer to the installation video below.

3.1 Door Preparation
- Use the provided installation template to mark the necessary holes on your door.
- Drill a 2 11/64" (55mm) diameter face hole and a 1" (25mm) diameter latch hole.
- If you plan to use the studs for fastening, drill an additional small hole as indicated on the template. If using double-sided tapes, this small hole is not required.

3.2 Handle Reversibility
The door handle is reversible to accommodate both left-handed and right-handed doors. Adjust the handle direction as needed before proceeding with the installation.
- Locate the small screw on the side of the handle.
- Use the provided Hex Wrench to loosen this screw.
- Rotate the handle to the desired orientation (left or right).
- Tighten the screw to secure the handle in place.

3.3 Latch Installation
- Adjust the backset of the latch (if needed) to either 60mm (default) or 70mm (optional).
- Insert the latch into the door edge hole. Ensure the latch angle faces the door jamb.
- Secure the latch with two Screw A.
3.4 Outdoor Assembly Installation
There are two methods to install the Outdoor Assembly:
Method 1: Install with Double-Sided Tapes
- Paste a double-sided tape onto the mounting plate of the Outdoor Assembly.
- Insert the spindle into the clutch, ensuring the triangle mark points to the vertically centered position.
- Attach the Outdoor Assembly to the door by inserting the cable through the drilled holes.
Method 2: Install with Studs
- Fix the stud onto the mounting plate of the Outdoor Assembly.
- Insert the spindle into the clutch, ensuring the triangle mark points to the vertically centered position.
- Attach the Outdoor Assembly to the door by inserting the cable through the drilled holes.
3.5 Indoor Assembly Installation
- Pass the cable from the Outdoor Assembly through the hole of the Mounting Plate.
- Attach the Mounting Plate and Gasket onto the door. Secure them by inserting two Screw B.
- Connect the cable to the port on the Indoor Assembly.
- Place the Indoor Assembly properly on the Mounting Plate.
- Secure the Indoor Assembly by inserting Screw C and Screw D (or Screw D and E if using double-sided tapes).
3.6 Battery Installation
- Insert four (4) AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment of the Indoor Assembly.
- Install the battery cover.
- Test the lock by using any fingerprint or code. If the lock responds, it is installed correctly.
4. Operating Instructions
The NGTeco ML300 Smart Lock offers multiple ways to unlock your door.
4.1 Unlocking with Fingerprint
- Place a registered finger onto the fingerprint sensor. The sensor will illuminate.
- Upon successful verification (indicated by a green light), rotate the handle down to open the door.

4.2 Unlocking with Passcode
- Enter your registered passcode on the keypad.
- Press the NGTeco button (usually the '0' button or a dedicated checkmark/lock icon) to confirm.
- Upon successful verification, rotate the handle down to open the door.

4.3 Unlocking with NGTeco Home App (Bluetooth)
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and you are within range of the lock.
- Open the NGTeco Home app.
- Select your ML300 lock from the device list.
- Tap the 'Unlock' button within the app.
- Upon successful unlocking, rotate the handle down to open the door.

4.4 Unlocking with Physical Key
- Insert the backup key into the keyhole located on the handle.
- Rotate the key 90 degrees.
- While holding the key turned, rotate the handle down to open the door.

5. Smart Features & App Integration
Enhance your lock's functionality by connecting it to the NGTeco Home app and an optional Wi-Fi Gateway.

5.1 NGTeco Home App Setup (Bluetooth)
- Download the free NGTeco Home app from your smartphone's app store.
- Register and sign in to your account.
- Follow the in-app instructions to pair the lock via Bluetooth. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is active.
- Once paired, you can manage users, view access records, and unlock the door via the app when within Bluetooth range.
5.2 Wi-Fi Gateway Connection (Sold Separately)
To enable remote control, smart alerts, and voice control, you will need the NGTeco Wi-Fi Gateway.
- Plug in the Wi-Fi Gateway. If the red LED blinks slowly, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until it blinks rapidly.
- Open the NGTeco Home app and tap the '+' button in the upper right corner.
- Select 'Smart Lock Wireless Gateway' from the device categories.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the Gateway to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Once the Gateway is connected, enter its device interface in the app and select your ML300 lock to link it.

5.3 Voice Control (with Wi-Fi Gateway)
With the Wi-Fi Gateway connected, you can use voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.
- Ensure your NGTeco Home app is linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant account.
- Use commands such as "Alexa, unlock my front door" or "Hey Google, unlock the main entrance."
- You may be prompted for a voice code for security.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Replacement
The lock will provide a low battery warning. Replace batteries promptly to avoid being locked out.
- Remove the battery cover on the Indoor Assembly.
- Replace all four (4) AA alkaline batteries with new ones.
- Reattach the battery cover.
6.2 Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and functionality of your lock:
- Wipe the lock surface with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
- Keep the fingerprint sensor clean and dry for optimal performance.
