Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the base of the light.
  2. Twist or unlatch the cover to open the compartment.
  3. Insert three (3) D-size batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Securely close the battery compartment cover.

2. Mounting the Light

The Bushnell Area Light features a robust magnetic base for versatile mounting options:

  • Simply place the magnetic base onto any suitable metal surface, such as a truck bed, refrigerator, or metal workbench.
  • Ensure the surface is clean and free of debris for optimal magnetic adhesion.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Mode Selection

The light is operated by a single power button, typically located on the front or top of the unit:

  1. To Turn On: Press the power button once to activate the light in High mode.
  2. To Cycle Modes: Press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the modes: High → Medium → Low.
  3. To Turn Off: After cycling through all modes, pressing the button again will turn the light off. Alternatively, press and hold the button for approximately 2 seconds to turn off the light from any mode.

2. Adjusting Light Direction

The light features an adjustable head for directing illumination:

  • Gently pivot the light head to rotate it up to 90 degrees downwards from its upright position.
  • Adjust the angle as needed to illuminate your desired area.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the light with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace all three D batteries when the light output diminishes significantly. Refer to the 'Battery Installation' section for proper replacement.
