4. Product Overview

5. Controls and Functions

Familiarize yourself with the control panel located on the top of the speaker:

1. Light Mode Button: Press to cycle through different LED light modes.
2. Mode Button: Press to switch between Bluetooth, FM Radio, AUX, and TF Card modes.
3. Rewind/Volume Down Button: Press briefly to go to the previous track; press and hold to decrease volume.
4. Play/Pause Button: Press to play or pause audio. In FM mode, press and hold to auto-scan stations.
5. Fast Forward/Volume Up Button: Press briefly to go to the next track; press and hold to increase volume.
6. True Wireless Button: Press to initiate True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing with another compatible speaker.

6. Setup

6.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button (usually integrated with the Mode button or a separate button) for a few seconds to turn the speaker ON or OFF.

7.2 Bluetooth Pairing

The speaker utilizes Bluetooth version 5.3 for fast and stable connections.

1. Turn on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED light and an audible prompt.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
3. Search for "COBY-CPA540" (or similar name) in your device's Bluetooth list.
4. Select the speaker to connect. Once paired, the LED light will stop flashing, and you will hear a confirmation sound.

7.3 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Pairing

For an enhanced stereo experience, you can pair two COBY-CPA540 speakers together using TWS technology.

1. Ensure both speakers are turned on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press the True Wireless Button (button 6). It will emit a pairing sound.
3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound.
4. Now, connect your Bluetooth device to the primary speaker as described in section 7.2. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.

7.4 FM Radio Mode

To listen to FM radio:

1. Press the Mode Button (button 2) repeatedly until you hear the FM radio prompt.
2. Press and hold the Play/Pause Button (button 4) to auto-scan and save available FM stations.
3. Use the Rewind/Volume Down Button (button 3) and Fast Forward/Volume Up Button (button 5) to navigate between saved stations.

7.5 Auxiliary Input (AUX)

Connect external audio devices using the 3.5mm auxiliary cable:

1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX cable to the speaker's AUX-in port.
2. Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
3. Press the Mode Button (button 2) until the speaker enters AUX mode.
4. Control playback and volume from your connected device or the speaker's controls.

7.6 TF Card Playback

To play music directly from a TF (MicroSD) card:

1. Insert a TF card (with MP3 audio files) into the TF card slot on the speaker.
2. The speaker will automatically switch to TF card mode and begin playing music. If not, press the Mode Button (button 2) to select TF card mode.
3. Use the Rewind/Volume Down Button (button 3) and Fast Forward/Volume Up Button (button 5) to control tracks.

7.7 LED Light Modes

The speaker features multiple dynamic LED light modes to enhance your listening experience.

Press the Light Mode Button (button 1) repeatedly to cycle through the available light modes. Each press will change the pattern or color scheme of the LED lights.

7.8 Karaoke Mode

The speaker supports karaoke functionality, allowing you to connect a microphone (not included) and sing along to your favorite tunes.

Connect a compatible microphone to the designated microphone input port on the speaker. Adjust the microphone volume using the speaker's controls or the microphone's built-in controls, if available.

8. Charging

The Coby Wireless Bluetooth Speaker is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, providing up to 7 hours of playtime on a single charge. When the battery is low, the speaker will indicate this with an audible alert or a flashing indicator light.

To charge, connect the USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port and a standard USB power source. A full charge typically takes a few hours. Avoid overcharging the battery to prolong its lifespan.

9. Maintenance

To keep your speaker in optimal condition:

• Wipe the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
