Introduction

The FreedConn T-Max Pro Motorcycle Helmet Bluetooth Headset is designed to enhance your riding experience with advanced communication and entertainment features. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device.

Key features include full-duplex intercom for up to 6 riders, advanced encoder technology for intuitive control, dual noise reduction (CVC and DSC), dual-core Bluetooth 5.0 for stable connections, and an IP65 waterproof and dustproof rating.

Installation

The FreedConn T-Max Pro offers two installation methods: a clip-on bracket and a Velcro bracket. Choose the method best suited for your helmet type.

1. Preparing Your Helmet

  • Remove the inner lining of your helmet to access the ear pockets and ensure proper cable routing.

2. Attaching the Main Unit Bracket

  • Clip-on Installation: Loosen the screws on the metal clip. Slide the clip between the helmet shell and the inner lining. Position it on the left side of the helmet for easy access. Tighten the screws securely.
  • Velcro Installation: Clean the desired area on the left side of your helmet. Peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive on the Velcro mount. Firmly press the Velcro mount onto the helmet surface.

3. Installing Speakers and Microphone

  • Attach the speaker Velcro pads to the back of the speakers.
  • Place the speakers into the helmet's ear pockets, ensuring they are aligned with your ears for optimal sound.
  • Route the microphone cable along the helmet lining to the front of the helmet. Secure the microphone in a position where it is close to your mouth but not obstructing your vision.
  • Connect the speaker and microphone cables to the main headset unit.

Setup

1. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds. The blue light will flash quickly three times, then flash slowly.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds. Release when the red light is on.

2. Language Switching

  • In standby or music pause state, short press the multi-function button and the ON/OFF button simultaneously.

3. Controlling Running-Water Indicator Light

  • In power on state, press the "C" button once to turn on/off the running-water indicator light.

4. Deleting Historical Pairing Information

  • In power on state, press the ON/OFF button for 8 seconds. The red LED indicator light will remain on and then flash twice quickly, indicating successful deletion.

5. Enable/Disable Automatic Answering

  • Short press the ON/OFF button and the volume up button simultaneously to enable or disable automatic answering of phone calls.

Operating Instructions

1. Mobile Phone Connection & Calls

  • Pairing: When the device is off, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (red and blue indicator lights flash). Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone and pair with "FODSPORTS FX7".
  • Answer/End Call: Short press the Function button.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Function button for 1 second.
  • Adjust Volume: Rotate the jog wheel forward or backward for 1 second.

2. Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Short press the Function button.
  • Next Song: Rotate the jog wheel forward once.
  • Last Song: Rotate the jog wheel backward once.
  • Adjust Volume: Rotate the jog wheel forward or backward for 1 second.

3. FM Radio

  • Radio ON: Double-click the ON/OFF button.
  • Radio OFF: Double-click the ON/OFF button.
  • Next Channel: Rotate the jog wheel forward once.
  • Last Channel: Rotate the jog wheel backward once.
  • Adjust Volume: Rotate the jog wheel forward or backward for 1 second.

4. Intercom Function

  • The T-Max Pro supports full-duplex intercom for up to 6 riders simultaneously, with an intercom distance of up to 1000m.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the provided USB cable.
  • Pairing Issues: Delete historical pairing information (see Setup section) and try pairing again. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on and discoverable.
  • Poor Audio Quality: Check speaker placement in the helmet. Ensure the microphone is positioned correctly and not obstructed. Verify that the cables are securely connected.
  • Intercom Disconnection: Ensure all units are within the specified range (up to 1000m). Re-pair the intercom units if necessary.
