5. Setup

5.1. Initial Placement

1. Choose a flat, stable surface for the projector.
2. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the device.
3. Position the projector at an appropriate distance from the projection surface (wall or screen) to achieve the desired image size. A 1.2 throw ratio means you can project an 80-inch screen from approximately 7.0 ft (2.1m) away.

5.2. Power Connection

1. Connect the power cord to the power adapter.
2. Plug the power adapter into the DC-IN port on the projector.
3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a wall outlet.
4. The projector can also operate on its internal battery for portable use.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the power button on the projector or remote control until the device starts.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the device shuts down.

6.2. Connecting Devices

The HP MP250 offers multiple ways to connect your devices:

• HDMI Connection: Connect your laptop, gaming console, or other HDMI-enabled device using an HDMI cable to the projector's HDMI port.
• USB Connection: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port to play media files directly.
• Wireless Projection (Wi-Fi):
  1. Navigate to the Wi-Fi settings on the projector.
  2. Connect the projector to your local Wi-Fi network.
  3. For iOS devices, use AirPlay/Screen Mirroring. For Android devices, use the compatible screen mirroring function.
  4. Select the projector from your device's available display options.
• Bluetooth Speaker Mode: The projector can function as a standalone Bluetooth speaker.
  1. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device.
  2. Select the HP MP250 from the list of available Bluetooth devices to pair.

6.3. Image Adjustments

• Auto Focus: The projector features an automatic focus system that instantly measures distance and angle to adjust focus. This ensures a clear image without manual intervention.
• Keystone Correction: The projector automatically corrects image distortion caused by angled projection. Manual adjustments can also be made via the settings menu if needed.

6.4. Audio Settings

The integrated 6W stereo speakers provide clear audio. Volume can be adjusted using the controls on the projector or the remote control. In Bluetooth speaker mode, audio is controlled via the connected mobile device.

7.1. Cleaning

• Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Exterior: Wipe the projector's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth.
• Ventilation: Periodically check and gently clean the ventilation openings to ensure proper airflow and prevent dust buildup.

7.2. Storage

When not in use, store the projector in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If possible, use the original packaging or a protective case to prevent dust and damage.
