  • Assembly: Assemble the unit with at least two people to prevent injury. Wear protective gloves during assembly to avoid cuts from sharp edges.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the assembly area. Do not allow children to climb on or play with the shelving unit.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the unit for loose parts or damage. Tighten any loose connections immediately.
  • Environment: Avoid placing the unit in damp or corrosive environments to prevent rust and material degradation.

3. Package Contents

Before beginning assembly, ensure all parts are present and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact customer support.

  • Upright Posts (Vertical supports)
  • Long Beams (Horizontal supports for shelf length)
  • Short Beams (Horizontal supports for shelf depth)
  • MDF Shelf Boards (5 pieces)
  • Plastic Feet (16 pieces)
  • Coupling Plates (for connecting upright posts, if assembling as two shorter units)

4. Setup and Assembly Instructions

This shelving unit features a screwless assembly design for quick and easy setup. It can be assembled as one tall 5-tier unit or two shorter units (e.g., a 3-tier and a 2-tier unit).

4.1. Preparation

  • Clear a spacious and level area for assembly.
  • Unpack all components and verify against the package contents list.
  • Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

4.2. Assembly Steps (5-Tier Unit)

  1. Attach Plastic Feet: Gently tap the plastic feet onto the bottom ends of the four upright posts.
  2. Assemble Base Frame: Connect two long beams and two short beams to the bottom section of two upright posts. Ensure the tabs on the beams securely fit into the slots on the upright posts. Use a rubber mallet if necessary to ensure a snug fit.
  3. Complete First Level: Repeat step 2 for the other two upright posts, creating a second base frame. Then, connect these two frames using additional long and short beams to form the complete base of the shelf.
  4. Insert First Shelf Board: Place an MDF shelf board onto the assembled frame.
  5. Add Subsequent Levels: Determine the desired height for your next shelf. Attach long and short beams to the upright posts at the chosen height. Ensure all connections are secure. Place the next MDF shelf board. Repeat this process for all five shelves.
  6. Final Check: Once all shelves are in place, gently push down on each shelf to ensure all connections are fully engaged and stable.

  1. Empty the shelf you wish to adjust.
  2. Carefully lift the MDF board off the beams.
  3. Disengage the long and short beams from the upright posts by gently tapping them upwards with a rubber mallet.
  4. Re-attach the beams to the desired slots on the upright posts, ensuring they are level and fully engaged.
  5. Place the MDF board back onto the beams.

5.2. Loading the Shelf

Each shelf has a maximum load capacity of 175 kg (385 lbs). To ensure stability and prevent damage:

  • Distribute weight evenly across the entire surface of each shelf.
  • Place heavier items on lower shelves to improve overall stability.
  • Avoid concentrating heavy loads in one small area.
  • Do not overload any individual shelf or the entire unit.

Figure 5: Each shelf supports up to 175 kg (385 lbs) when weight is evenly distributed.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your shelving unit.

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the steel frame with a soft, damp cloth. For the MDF boards, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all connections to ensure they remain secure. If any beams feel loose, gently tap them back into place with a rubber mallet.
  • Rust Prevention: Keep the unit dry. If used in a garage or basement, ensure adequate ventilation to prevent moisture buildup. The coated surface helps prevent rust and scratches.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your shelving unit, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Shelf unit is wobbly or unstable.Uneven floor; connections not fully engaged; overloaded shelves.Ensure unit is on a level surface. Check all beam-to-post connections and tap them firmly into place. Redistribute weight evenly and reduce load if necessary. Consider wall anchoring.
