2. Components and Accessories

Your WEFFORT Motorized Roller Shade package includes the following items:

3. Installation

The WEFFORT Motorized Roller Shades are designed for easy installation and support inside, outside, or side mounting. Ensure you have the correct measurements before proceeding.

3.1 Measuring for Installation

3.2 Mounting Procedure

  1. Drill two holes at the desired mounting location.
  2. Attach the provided brackets securely using screws.
  3. For side mount, ensure to specify this in your order to receive an extended bracket.
  4. Snap the roller shade unit into the installed brackets.

3.3 Solar Panel Installation (Optional)

If using the optional solar panel, it is designed for use on the inside of clean windows. Position it carefully to avoid obstruction, especially with single hung, sliding, or casement windows.

3.4 Light Blockers and Side Rail Track (Optional)

For enhanced light blocking, optional light blockers and side rail tracks are available. These accessories help minimize light leakage around the edges of the shade.

3.5 Multiple Shade Installation

When installing multiple roller shades side-by-side, be aware that small gaps will exist between the shade fabrics. Consider valance covers or deco bar types to minimize these gaps.

4. Operating Instructions

The WEFFORT Motorized Roller Shade offers multiple control methods for convenience.

4.1 Remote Control Operation

Standard motors are controlled via a dedicated remote. The first purchase requires at least one remote control. Remotes are available in 1-channel or 15-channel versions, allowing individual or group control of multiple shades.

4.2 Smart Home Integration

Enhance your experience by integrating your shades with smart home systems.

4.2.1 Standard Motor + Smart Hub

Pairing a standard motor with a Smart Hub (not included) enables control via Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings. This allows for voice control, scheduling, and scene control.

4.2.2 HomeKit Motor (Work over Thread)

Matter over Thread motors offer native integration with HomeKit, Alexa, Google, and other major smart ecosystems without an additional hub. Highest adaptability with Thread Border Router-enabled devices like HomePod (2nd gen), HomePod mini, or Apple TV 4K (2nd/3rd gen 128 GB).

4.2.3 Matter Motor (Work over Thread)

Scan the Matter QR code to add shades to your HomeKit/Alexa/Google App directly. All smart devices with Thread Border Router capability can be used as a Matter Hub.

4.2.4 Zigbee and Z-Wave Smart Motors

WEFFORT also offers motors compatible with both Zigbee and Z-wave systems, providing flexible options to meet a wide range of smart home needs. A Zigbee Hub or Z-Wave Hub (not included) is required for these integrations.

5. Maintenance

  • Battery Charging: The rechargeable battery lasts 4-6 months per charge. Charge using the provided USB cable, a power bank, or the optional solar panel.
  • Solar Panel Care: If using a solar panel, ensure it is kept clean and free of obstructions to maximize charging efficiency.

6. Troubleshooting
