4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

The HOTT C105 has a built-in 1800mAh Li-ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the device. Connect the included USB charging cable to the player's charging port and a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The battery indicator on the LCD screen will show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours and provides over 12 hours of music playback at medium volume.

4.2 Power On/Off

To power on the device, press and hold the ON/OFF button. To power off, press and hold the ON/OFF button again.

4.3 Inserting a CD

Gently slide the CD compartment open. Place your CD (label side up) onto the spindle, ensuring it clicks into place. Close the compartment firmly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic CD Playback

  • Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause playback.
  • Press the NEXT TRACK/FAST FORWARD button to skip to the next track. Hold to fast forward.
  • Press the PREVIOUS TRACK/REWIND button to go to the beginning of the current track or the previous track. Hold to rewind.

5.2 Adjusting Sound Effects (EQ)

Press the EQ button repeatedly to cycle through the available sound effects: BBS, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classic. Select the mode that best suits your audio preference.

5.3 Bluetooth Connection

To connect to Bluetooth headphones or speakers:

  1. Ensure your Bluetooth device is in pairing mode.
  2. On the HOTT C105, press the BT button. The Bluetooth icon on the display will flash, indicating it's searching for devices.
  3. Once connected, the Bluetooth icon will stop flashing and remain solid.

5.4 FM Transmitter for Car Connection

The HOTT C105 features a built-in FM transmitter to connect to your car's stereo system. This allows you to play your CDs through your car's speakers by tuning your car radio to the same FM frequency as the CD player.

  1. Press the FM button on the CD player.
  2. Use the NEXT TRACK/FAST FORWARD or PREVIOUS TRACK/REWIND buttons to select an unused FM frequency.
  3. Tune your car radio to the exact same FM frequency.
  4. Start playing your CD. The audio will transmit to your car's speakers.

Note: The effectiveness of the FM transmitter may vary depending on local radio interference and your car's stereo system. Volume control for FM transmission is typically managed via your car's stereo.

5.5 AUX Output

Connect the included 3.5mm AUX cable from the CD player's AUX output jack to the AUX input of your car stereo, home audio system, or wired headphones. This provides a direct wired audio connection.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the CD player clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Handle CDs by their edges to prevent scratches and fingerprints.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the USB cable to charge.
  • CD Not Playing/Skipping: Check if the CD is clean and free of scratches. Ensure the CD is inserted correctly. The anti-shock feature helps, but severe bumps can still cause skips.
  • No Sound: Check headphone/speaker connection. Ensure volume on connected device is not muted or too low. If using Bluetooth, ensure it's properly paired.
  • Bluetooth Not Connecting: Ensure the CD player and your Bluetooth device are in pairing mode and within range. Disconnect and reconnect if issues persist.
  • FM Transmission Issues: Try a different FM frequency on both the CD player and your car radio to avoid interference. Ensure your car radio is set to FM mode.
