1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all safety instructions before installing or operating your FINGERS FR-630 UPS. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Do not open the UPS casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Do not expose the UPS to rain, moisture, or direct sunlight.
  • Ensure the UPS is connected to a grounded power outlet.
  • Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Avoid placing the UPS near heat sources or in areas with excessive dust.

3. Setup and Installation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the UPS from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Place the UPS on a flat, stable surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture. Ensure adequate clearance around the ventilation openings.
  3. Initial Charge: Before first use, connect the UPS to a standard AC power outlet for at least 8 hours to ensure the battery is fully charged. The UPS will charge whether it is turned on or off.
  4. Connecting Devices: Plug your computer, monitor, router, or other critical electronic devices into the output sockets on the rear of the UPS. Do not connect laser printers or other high-surge devices to the UPS output, as this may overload the unit.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the UPS power cord into a grounded wall outlet.

4. Operation

Turning On/Off:

  • To Turn On: Press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a beep and the indicators light up.
  • To Turn Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicators turn off.

Indicator Lights:

Indicator Status Description
Green LED Solid On UPS is operating on AC power.
Green LED Flashing UPS is operating on battery power.
Red LED Solid On Fault or Overload condition.

Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR):

The UPS automatically detects and corrects minor voltage fluctuations (sags or surges) without switching to battery power, protecting your devices and extending battery life.

Cold Start Function:

The UPS can be powered on using its internal battery even when there is no AC input. To activate, ensure the UPS is off, then press and hold the power button until the unit starts.

5. Maintenance

  • Battery Care: To maximize battery life, ensure the UPS is connected to AC power and fully charged at all times. If the UPS is stored for an extended period, recharge it every three months.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the UPS. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings are clear of dust and obstructions to prevent overheating.
  • Battery Replacement: The internal battery is a sealed lead-acid type. Battery replacement should only be performed by qualified service personnel.

6. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
