4. Installation

This fan can be installed with or without attic access. Refer to the appropriate video and steps below.

4.1 Pre-Installation Checks

4.2 Installation with Attic Access

  1. Starting next to a joist, trace an outline for the fan housing.
  2. Use a drywall saw to cut the marked opening.
  3. Slide the fan housing into the opening and screw it into the joist.
  4. Attach the duct to the fan's exhaust port and apply HVAC tape over the connection to ensure a secure seal.
  5. Connect the house wires to the fan wires (black to black, white to white, ground to ground).
  6. Place insulation over and around the fan housing.
  7. Plug in the light connection.
  8. Install the grille, LED bulbs, and glass cover.

4.3 Installation without Attic Access (No-Attic Installation)

  1. If attic access is not available, this model allows for no-attic installation.
  2. First, disconnect the wires connecting the motor and the housing.
  3. Remove the fixing screws on the outside of the housing. This allows you to remove the motor from the housing.
  4. After connecting the ventilation duct, send the housing into the ceiling opening.
  5. Connect the wires correctly according to the label on the wires (black to black, white to white, ground to ground).
  6. Secure the housing to the joist using appropriate fasteners.
  7. Reinstall the motor back into the housing and connect the plugs.
  8. Finally, install the grille, LED bulbs, and glass cover.
