4. Installation
This fan can be installed with or without attic access. Refer to the appropriate video and steps below.
4.1 Pre-Installation Checks
- Ensure your soffit or attic has enough space for installation.
- Required opening size: 8-1/2" x 8-5/16".
- Soffit/Attic Height: > 6-1/2".

4.2 Installation with Attic Access
- Starting next to a joist, trace an outline for the fan housing.
- Use a drywall saw to cut the marked opening.
- Slide the fan housing into the opening and screw it into the joist.
- Attach the duct to the fan's exhaust port and apply HVAC tape over the connection to ensure a secure seal.
- Connect the house wires to the fan wires (black to black, white to white, ground to ground).
- Place insulation over and around the fan housing.
- Plug in the light connection.
- Install the grille, LED bulbs, and glass cover.

4.3 Installation without Attic Access (No-Attic Installation)
- If attic access is not available, this model allows for no-attic installation.
- First, disconnect the wires connecting the motor and the housing.
- Remove the fixing screws on the outside of the housing. This allows you to remove the motor from the housing.
- After connecting the ventilation duct, send the housing into the ceiling opening.
- Connect the wires correctly according to the label on the wires (black to black, white to white, ground to ground).
- Secure the housing to the joist using appropriate fasteners.
- Reinstall the motor back into the housing and connect the plugs.
- Finally, install the grille, LED bulbs, and glass cover.

5. Operating Instructions
The Akicon BPT14-80CL fan is designed for efficient and quiet operation.
5.1 Fan Operation
- The fan operates at 80 CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute) with a noise level of 2.0 Sones, ensuring effective ventilation with minimal sound.
- Activate the fan using the connected wall switch.
5.2 LED Light Operation
- The integrated LED light offers three color temperature options: 3000K (Warm White), 4000K (Cool White), and 5000K (Daylight).
- To select your desired color temperature, locate the sliding switch on the back of the lampshade (or on the LED bulbs themselves, depending on the specific bulb type). Adjust this switch before installing the glass cover.
- The LED light is dimmable, allowing you to adjust brightness using a compatible dimmer switch (sold separately).

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your exhaust fan.
6.1 Cleaning the Grille and Glass Cover
- Disconnect power at the service panel before cleaning.
- Carefully remove the glass cover by rotating it counter-clockwise.
- Wash the glass cover with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly.
- Wipe the grille with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Reinstall the glass cover by aligning the markings and rotating clockwise until secure.
6.2 Replacing LED Bulbs
- Disconnect power at the service panel.
- Remove the glass cover as described above.
- Unscrew the old LED bulbs and replace them with new ones of the same type (GU24 base, if applicable, or compatible LED bulbs).
- Reinstall the glass cover.
