Introduction
The Arrow RT200MKIT Headless One-Handed Rivet Tool Kit is designed for precision and control in various fastening projects. This tool features an innovative headless riveting design that automatically adjusts to accommodate three rivet sizes without requiring manual head changes. Its compact, one-handed operation allows for easy squeezing and the ability to hold materials simultaneously. The unique swivel head design facilitates riveting in hard-to-reach areas, making it suitable for applications such as auto body repair, HVAC, drop ceiling grids, and metal crafting. The tool is constructed with a rust-resistant powder coating for durability and includes an anti-slip handle for secure gripping and control.
What's Included
- One RT200M Riveter Tool
- Four Drill Bits
- 300 Rivets (in three different sizes)
- Durable Hard-Shell Protective Storage Case

Key Features
- Headless Riveting Design: Automatically adjusts to fit 1/8-inch, 5/32-inch, and 3/16-inch rivet sizes, eliminating the need for interchangeable nose pieces.
- One-Handed Operation: Compact design allows for single-hand use, providing freedom to stabilize materials during fastening.
- Swivel Head: Enables access to confined or awkward spaces.
- Durable Construction: Features a rust-resistant powder coating for extended tool life.
- Comfort Grip: Anti-slip handle ensures secure and comfortable use.
- Versatile Application: Suitable for sheet metal, gutters, storm doors, automotive repairs, and various crafting projects.

Setup
- Prepare the Workpiece: Ensure the materials to be joined are clean and properly aligned.
- Drill Pilot Hole: Using an appropriate drill bit (provided in the kit), drill a hole through the materials. The hole size should match the diameter of the rivet being used.
- Select Rivet: Choose a rivet of the correct diameter and grip range for your application. The RT200MKIT accommodates 1/8-inch, 5/32-inch, and 3/16-inch aluminum rivets, and 1/8-inch and 5/32-inch steel rivets. Note: 3/16-inch steel rivets are not recommended for use with this tool.

Operating Instructions
- Insert Rivet into Tool: Insert the thin pin (mandrel) of the chosen rivet into the nose piece of the rivet tool until the rivet head rests against the tool. The headless design automatically adjusts to the rivet size.
- Position Rivet: Place the rivet head through the pre-drilled hole in your workpiece. Ensure the materials are flush and held firmly together.
- Operate the Tool: Squeeze the handles of the rivet tool firmly and repeatedly. With each squeeze, the tool pulls the rivet mandrel, expanding the rivet body on the blind side of the material and forming a secure joint.
- Complete Fastening: Continue squeezing until the rivet mandrel snaps off, indicating the rivet is fully set. The tool will release the broken mandrel.
- Remove Mandrel: Discard the broken mandrel safely.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the tool clean with a dry cloth to remove any dust or debris.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of light machine oil to the pivot points and moving parts of the tool to ensure smooth operation.
- Storage: Store the rivet tool and its components in the provided hard-shell case in a dry, clean environment to prevent rust and damage.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the nose piece and jaws for wear or damage. Replace if necessary to maintain optimal performance.
Troubleshooting
Rivet Does Not Set Properly:
Cause: Incorrect rivet size, insufficient squeezing force, or worn jaws.
Solution: Ensure the rivet diameter and grip range are appropriate for the material thickness. Apply firm, consistent pressure when squeezing the handles. Inspect the tool's jaws for wear.
Mandrel Does Not Break Off:
Cause: Rivet material too hard for the tool, or insufficient force.
Solution: Verify that the rivet material (aluminum or steel) is compatible with the tool's specifications. Apply maximum possible force. If using 3/16-inch steel rivets, note that this tool is not recommended for them.
Tool Jams:
Cause: Debris in the nose piece or jaws, or a bent mandrel.
Solution: Clear any obstructions from the nose piece. Ensure rivets are not bent before insertion.
