3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your solar lights. Please follow these steps carefully:

  1. Choose an Optimal Location: Select a location where the solar panel can receive at least 5 hours of direct sunlight daily. Avoid shaded areas from trees, buildings, or other obstructions. The light unit itself can be installed in a darker area, as long as the solar panel receives sufficient sunlight.
  2. Mounting the Solar Panel: The solar panel can be mounted using the provided screws or tie straps. Ensure the panel is securely fastened and angled to maximize sun exposure.
  3. Mounting the Light Unit: The light unit can be screwed to hard surfaces like walls, wooden fences, or garage door frames. Alternatively, use the tie straps to secure it to trees or posts.
  4. Adjusting Light Heads: The three lamp heads can be adjusted horizontally up to 90 degrees and vertically up to 45 degrees to direct illumination where needed. The solar panel itself can be adjusted up and down by 60 degrees, with an optimum tilt angle usually around 20 degrees for charging.
  5. Connect the Cable: Connect the cable from the solar panel to the light unit. The provided cable is 16.4 feet long, offering flexibility in placement.

4. Operating Instructions

The intelamp Solar Outdoor Lights offer three distinct lighting modes, which can be selected using the push button control on the unit. The remote control allows for additional timer and dimming functions.

  1. Mode 1 (Strong Light Motion Sensor Mode): The lights are set on a low brightness setting at all times. When motion is detected, the lights will illuminate brightly. After approximately 30 seconds of no motion, they will return to the low brightness setting.
  2. Mode 2 (Strong Light Motion Sensor Mode - Off): The lights will remain off. When motion is detected, the lights will illuminate brightly. After approximately 30 seconds of no motion, they will turn off completely.
  3. Mode 3 (Long Light Mode - Motion Sensor Disabled): The lights will provide continuous low-level illumination throughout the night until daybreak or until the battery is exhausted. The motion sensor is inactive in this mode.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and efficiency of your intelamp Solar Outdoor Lights, regular maintenance is recommended:

  • Clean Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and debris. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption for charging.
  • Check for Obstructions: Ensure no new obstructions (e.g., growing branches, new structures) are shading the solar panel.
  • Inspect Mounting: Regularly check that the light unit and solar panel remain securely mounted. Tighten any loose screws or straps as needed.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your solar lights, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
