Setup & Installation
Mounting the Dash Cam
- Choose Location: Select a position behind your rearview mirror that does not obstruct your driving view. Ensure the camera lens has a clear line of sight through the windshield.
- Clean Windshield: Use an alcohol wipe or a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol to thoroughly clean the chosen area on your windshield. Allow it to dry completely.
- Attach Dash Cam: Remove the protective film from the adhesive on the dash cam mount. Firmly press the dash cam onto the cleaned area of the windshield for at least 30 seconds to ensure a secure bond.
Power Connection
The Fitcamx dash cam offers two primary methods for power connection:
- On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) Port: Connect the provided power cable to your vehicle's OBD port. This method typically allows for continuous power, enabling parking surveillance features.
- Fuse Box: Alternatively, the dash cam can be powered directly from the vehicle's fuse box. This requires a hardwire kit (not included in standard package) and professional installation is recommended to ensure correct wiring and avoid electrical issues.
Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: The dash cam automatically powers on and begins recording when the vehicle starts. It powers off when the vehicle is turned off.
- Memory Card: Insert the 64GB memory card (included) into the designated slot. Ensure the card is formatted periodically to maintain optimal performance.
Wi-Fi & App Control
The built-in 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi allows seamless connection to the Fitcamx mobile application (available for Android/iOS).
- Download App: Search for 'Fitcamx' in your device's app store and install.
- Connect Wi-Fi: On the dash cam, activate Wi-Fi mode. On your smartphone, connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password typically displayed on the dash cam screen).
- Access Features: Through the app, you can:
- View live footage.
- Download recorded videos to your phone.
- Share videos.
- Adjust various camera settings.
Settings Configuration
Access and modify settings either directly on the dash cam's interface or via the mobile app.
- Video Resolution: Adjust recording quality (e.g., 2160P).
- Loop Recording: Set the duration of video segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes).
- G-Sensor Sensitivity: Configure the sensitivity for collision detection (Low, Medium, High).

- Temperature: The dash cam is designed to operate in temperatures from -4°F to 185°F (-20°C to 85°C). Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures outside this range.
Troubleshooting
- Dash Cam Not Powering On: Check the power connection to the OBD port or fuse box. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on if not using continuous power.
- "Memory Card Error": Format the memory card. If the error persists, try a different high-quality memory card.
- Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled. Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone. Try reconnecting through the app.
- Poor Video Quality: Clean the camera lens and the windshield. Check the video resolution settings in the app. Ensure WDR is enabled for challenging lighting.
