Setup and Installation

1. Attach Mounting Brackets: Slide one metal bracket onto each end of the light fixture. The brackets are designed to extend and fit tanks from 24 to 30 inches in length.

2. Position the Light: Place the assembled light fixture securely on top of your aquarium. Ensure the brackets are firmly seated on the tank edges.

3. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the light fixture, then plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.

The hygger HG016 aquarium light offers multiple operating modes and customizable settings via its remote control.

Setting Time of Day

To set the current time on the remote, long-press the "SET" button until the hour digit flashes. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the hour, then press "SET" again to move to minutes. Adjust minutes with UP/DOWN and press "SET" to save.

Mode Selection

1. Default Mode (24/7 Cycle)

This mode simulates a natural 24-hour day cycle, providing a gradual sunrise, bright daylight, gentle sunset, and 4 hours of moonlight before turning off. To activate, press the "24/7" button on the remote.

2. Day & Moon Light Mode

This mode offers full spectrum lighting during the day and blue light at night. You can customize your own color blends.

3. DIY Mode

Divide the 24 hours into 8 phases. You can customize the time, color, and brightness for each phase (L1-L8).

4. Weather Mode

Choose from preset weather effects like sunrise, sunset, cloudy, and lightning to add dynamic visual effects to your tank.

Brightness Adjustment

Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons on the remote to adjust the brightness level from 10% to 100% (10 levels).

Color Options

Press the power/mode button to cycle through 7 spectrum colors (red, green, blue, purple, orange, cyan, yellow) and a full spectrum white light.

Maintenance

The light features a high-quality aluminum shell for improved heat dissipation and a high light transmission PC lamp cover to prevent water splashing.

• Cleaning: The aluminum housing is smooth and easy to wipe clean with a paper towel to remove dirt or gunk.
• Water Resistance: The light is IP68 waterproof, meaning it can withstand splashes and temporary submersion. However, avoid prolonged submersion of the remote control as it is not waterproof.

Troubleshooting

• Power Outage: If power goes out, the light has a memory function that will restore your last settings once power is re-established. No need to reset.
• Remote Control Issues: Ensure the cell battery in the remote is correctly installed. The remote operates within a range of 32 feet.
• Light Not Bright Enough: Adjust the brightness using the UP/DOWN arrow buttons on the remote.
• Algae Growth: Excessive light can promote algae growth. Utilize the timer function to set appropriate lighting durations (6, 10, or 12 hours) or adjust brightness levels.
