2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup and Installation
Installation of the Carbest VanHeat 2.0-DH requires technical knowledge and should ideally be performed by a qualified technician or workshop. Improper installation can lead to serious safety risks and may void your warranty.
4.1 Mounting the Heater Unit
Select a suitable, stable, and well-protected location within your vehicle. Ensure there is sufficient space for air intake, exhaust, and fuel line connections. The unit must be securely fastened to prevent vibration and movement during vehicle operation.

4.2 Fuel System Connection
Connect the fuel pump and fuel lines according to the provided diagram in the detailed installation guide (not included in this general manual). Ensure all connections are leak-proof and secured with appropriate clamps. The fuel pick-up should be installed in the vehicle's diesel tank or a separate fuel tank.
4.3 Exhaust and Air Intake
Install the exhaust pipe and air intake pipe. The exhaust must be routed safely outside the vehicle, away from windows, doors, and flammable materials. Ensure the exhaust pipe is angled downwards to prevent water ingress. The air intake should draw clean, fresh air.
4.4 Electrical Connection
Connect the wiring harness to the heater unit, fuel pump, and the vehicle's 12V DC power supply. Ensure correct polarity and use appropriate fuses. The digital LCD control panel connects via the provided wiring harness.
4.5 Altitude Adjustment (Alpine Kit)
The Carbest VanHeat 2.0-DH features an integrated altitude adjustment system, allowing for smooth operation at altitudes up to 5,000 meters. This system automatically adapts the combustion process to varying atmospheric pressures, ensuring efficient and reliable heating in mountainous regions.
5. Operating Instructions
The heater is controlled via the digital LCD control panel.

5.1 Turning On/Off
- To Turn On: Press and hold the Power button (symbol: circle with vertical line) on the control panel until the display illuminates and the heater starts its ignition sequence.
- To Turn Off: Press and hold the Power button again. The heater will enter a cool-down phase before shutting down completely. Do not disconnect power during the cool-down phase.
5.2 Setting Temperature/Power
- Use the Up (symbol: upward arrow) and Down (symbol: downward arrow) buttons to adjust the desired temperature or heating power level displayed on the LCD screen.
- Press the OK button (symbol: OK) to confirm your selection.
5.3 Display Information
The LCD screen displays various information such as current temperature, set temperature, operating mode, and error codes if applicable. Refer to the detailed control panel manual (if provided separately) for specific display icons and functions.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Carbest parking heater.
- Annual Inspection: Have the heater inspected by a qualified technician at least once a year, preferably before the heating season.
