2. Safety Instructions

  • Power Source: Use only the specified power adapter. Ensure the voltage matches your local power supply.

  1. Platter: Where the vinyl record rests.
  2. Spindle: Holds the record in place.
  3. Tonearm: Holds the cartridge and stylus.
  4. Stylus (Needle): Reads the grooves of the record.
  5. Tonearm Lift Lever: Raises and lowers the tonearm.
  6. Speed Selector: Switch between 33, 45, and 78 RPM.
  7. Auto-Stop Switch: Enables or disables automatic stopping of the platter at the end of a record.
  8. Power/Volume Knob: Turns the unit on/off and adjusts volume.
  9. Function Selector: Switches between Phono, Bluetooth, USB/SD, and AUX modes.

5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your turntable for the first time.

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the turntable from its packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a stable, level surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or vibrations.
  3. Remove Protective Cover: Open the turntable lid. Remove any protective packaging materials, including the stylus guard from the needle.
  4. Connect Power: Insert the DC plug of the power adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the unit. Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet.
  5. External Connections (Optional):
    • RCA Output: If connecting to an external amplifier or powered speakers, use an RCA cable (not included) to connect the RCA output jacks on the turntable to the corresponding input jacks on your audio system.
    • AUX Input: To play audio from an external device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player), connect it to the AUX IN jack using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).

6. Operation

6.1 Playing Vinyl Records

  1. Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
  2. Select Mode: Set the Function Selector to 'PHONO'.
  3. Select Speed: Choose the appropriate speed (33, 45, or 78 RPM) using the Speed Selector switch. For 45 RPM records, place the 45 RPM adapter on the spindle.
  4. Place Record: Place a vinyl record on the turntable platter.
  5. Auto-Stop: If you want the platter to stop automatically at the end of the record, ensure the Auto-Stop switch is ON. If you prefer continuous rotation, set it to OFF.
  6. Position Tonearm: Gently lift the tonearm using the Tonearm Lift Lever. Move the tonearm over the desired track of the record.
  7. Lower Tonearm: Slowly lower the tonearm onto the record using the Tonearm Lift Lever. The music will begin to play.
  8. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Power/Volume knob.
  9. End of Playback: When the record finishes, the tonearm will automatically return to its rest position if Auto-Stop is ON. If Auto-Stop is OFF, manually lift the tonearm and return it to its rest.

6.2 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
  2. Select Mode: Set the Function Selector to 'BT' (Bluetooth). The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing indicator light.
  3. Pair Device: On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), search for Bluetooth devices and select 'MUSE MT-201' from the list.
  4. Confirmation: Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid. You can now play audio from your device through the turntable's speakers.
  5. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Power/Volume knob on the turntable and/or your connected device.

6.3 USB/SD Playback

  1. Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
  2. Insert Media: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
  3. Select Mode: Set the Function Selector to 'USB/SD'. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing audio files from the inserted media.
  4. Controls: Use the playback controls (e.g., Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track) on the unit to manage your music.
  5. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Power/Volume knob.

6.4 Auxiliary Input (AUX IN)

  1. Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
  2. Connect Device: Connect your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX IN jack using a 3.5mm audio cable.
  3. Select Mode: Set the Function Selector to 'AUX'.
  4. Play Audio: Start playback on your external device.
  5. Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Power/Volume knob on the turntable and/or your connected device.

6.5 Headphone Output

For private listening, plug your headphones into the headphone jack. The internal speakers will be muted automatically.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Unit

  • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Keep the turntable lid closed when not in use to protect the components from dust.

7.2 Stylus Care

  • The stylus is delicate. Handle it with extreme care.
  • To clean the stylus, use a soft brush and gently brush from back to front. Do not brush from side to side.
  • A worn stylus can damage your records and produce poor sound quality. Replace the stylus when you notice a degradation in sound or after approximately 300-500 hours of use.

7.3 Record Care

  • Handle records by their edges to avoid touching the grooves.
  • Store records in their sleeves and in a vertical position to prevent warping.
  • Clean records regularly with a dedicated record cleaning brush or solution to remove dust and static.
