Smartphone Compatibility and App Setup

Echo Frames are compatible with smartphones running Android 9.0 or greater and iOS 14 or greater. Download the Alexa app from your device's app store. The Alexa app is essential for setting up your Echo Frames, managing settings, and accessing features. Ensure your smartphone has an active data plan or Wi-Fi connection for full functionality; carrier charges may apply.

Operating Your Echo Frames

Your Echo Frames are designed for seamless hands-free interaction with Alexa and your digital content.

Accessing Music and Content

Simply ask Alexa to play music, podcasts, or Audible books from your favorite streaming applications. The open-ear audio design directs sound to your ears while minimizing what others can hear. Auto Volume automatically adjusts the volume based on your environment's noise level.

Hands-Free Communication

Make and receive calls without needing to pull out your phone. The open-ear audio allows for clear conversations. With Top Contact enabled, you can quickly call your designated VIP contact with a single press and hold of a button.

Smart Home Control

Use Alexa on your Echo Frames to control compatible smart home devices. You can check if doors are locked, turn lights on or off, or adjust your thermostat, even when you're away from home.

Privacy Features

Echo Frames are designed with privacy in mind. They feature wake word technology, streaming indicators with LED feedback, and the ability to mute microphones by double-pressing the action button. You can also view and delete your voice recordings through the Alexa app.

Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and performance of your Echo Frames.

Cleaning

Use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe the lenses and frames. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the blue light filtering lenses or the frame finish.

Storage and Temperature

Store your Echo Frames in their carrying case when not in use to protect them from scratches and impacts. Avoid exposing the smart glasses or charging stand to extreme heat or cold. The optimal operating temperature range is 0–35°C (32–95°F). Do not leave them in a hot car, as this can damage the Italian acetate frames.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Echo Frames, try the following common solutions:

  • No Audio/Poor Audio Quality: Ensure the frames are charged. Check Bluetooth connection to your phone. Adjust volume settings on your phone or through Alexa.
  • Alexa Not Responding: Verify your phone has an active internet connection. Ensure microphones are not muted (double-press action button). Try restarting your phone and the Echo Frames.
  • Connectivity Issues: Re-pair the Echo Frames with your smartphone via Bluetooth. Ensure the Alexa app is up to date.
  • Battery Draining Quickly: Reduce continuous media playback or talk time. Ensure the frames are fully charged before use.
