Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
The smart lock is powered by 4 AA batteries. The battery life is typically over one year. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears or when the lock's performance diminishes.
Cleaning:
Wipe the lock's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
Troubleshooting
Lock Working Backwards / Unlocks on First Touch:
If your lock operates in reverse (e.g., unlocks when it should lock, or unlocks on a single keypad touch), this is typically due to an installation error. Please re-install the deadbolt, paying careful attention to the following:
- Calibration Switch: Ensure the calibration switch on the interior unit is set correctly for a left-facing or right-facing bolt.
- Door Knob Position: Verify the door knob position on the interior unit matches the bolt direction.
Refer to the installation video for detailed guidance on adjusting these settings.
General Issues:
- Connectivity Problems: Ensure your Wi-Fi gateway is properly connected and within range of the lock. Check your home Wi-Fi network.
- Keypad Unresponsive: Check battery levels. If batteries are low, replace them.
- Lock Not Responding: Try removing and reinserting the batteries to perform a soft reset.
